Which - LED Side Markers

Id like to replace my standard 2008 E93 side repeater indicators with new brighter led side markers, I quite like the ones with the M Tech logo.

Which ones do you recommend and which are the best value for money and worthy for an upgrade?

Thanks in advance.

I looked for a long time myself for that answer. and what I found was most aftermarket side markers fit very very poorly.

buy oem and then get new bulbs from highperformancebulbs.com or any other vendor

Replace the bulb with an LED, but use the old housing for a perfect fit.

Exactly this. Replaced mine with HPB bulbs and love them. Still uses the OEM housing. Aftermarket housings have problems with fitment and water leakage.
Also, to the OP...for the record, ///M logos belong on ///M cars.

Same here, I have these and they fit very tight with no issues. I honestly could care less about the LEDs but I thought the OEM white lenses looked terrible on my jet black car, so I wanted smoked lenses to go with my blacklines. They look way better and with the LEDs they are much brighter than stock, so the smoked glass doesn't affect the actual function.

Not a fan of the WeissLicht side markers. Tried them on my e92 and one of the springs flung off when trying to install, difficult to fit on and there was a gap between the back of the light and the car. The description says that it includes a rubber gasket for OEM fit, but it does not. Also, the smoked ones seemed to have some sort of Zebra look to them. I went with EAS, fit is great, has the rubber gasket so no gap and no wierd Zebra stripe look.

Recommended LED Bulbs

Hello, have a 2006 325i, would like to swap all the signal and side marker light bulbs to LEDs, also license plate bulbs, all error free, anyone with knowledge about best bulbs to buy and link that are affordable and good quality ?

Also, can brake bulbs can be swapped to LEDs? How will that look ?

Much appreciated!

As others mentioned, the aftermarket options usually have poor fitment and or poor quality.

The HPB Side Marker upgrade replaces the bulb inside with LED's. You get the brightness and the fit and finish of OEM, win win.

For those that want a smoked look a bunch of customers have been smoking their OEM side marker with VHT Night shade.

Brake Bulb LED's will require coding last I recall, we tried this a few years ago and the white LED's washed out the brake lights cause they were so bright and it looked pink.

So you need RED LED's and they need to be 7watt or brighter to be worth it.

Thanks for the feedback........ one quick question I just thought of:

Would replacing the halogen with LED provide a crisp on off for signals like the New BMW's have unlike the halogen delayed on/off?

Yes, in fact that is the point, to get the crisp on/off of an LED, and some increased brightness over OEM. They also run cooler and use less energy.
