Non-sport to M-sport Steering Wheel!

Finally found everything I needed to do the upgrade. Unfortunately I lost my heated steering wheel option, but I got something up my sleeve to get that back

M-sport wheel is sooooo much nicer than the ugly non-sport. I would recommend this!

Only cost me about $700 for everything!

Threw a couple errors for a second but they went away and never came back! Process only took me like a half hour with the DIY guides. EASY!

Hooray for shitty Iphone pics.

whoa, that's expensive for US I think. But good upgrade, probably realistically the first you should make since you're holding on to the thing all the time!

i think the airbag cost the most since you can't use a non sport airbag on a sport wheel

I like the Batman symbol on the starter button. Wheel looks great. Did you consider a steering wheel with paddles?

Yeah lol but I didn't want to go through the process of retrofitting the paddles.

Thanks for comments guys, yeah 700 is a little steep but what my plan is:

Send non-sport heated wheel to bmwsteeringwheels and get it perforated and then sell the whole m-sport package with everything required for installation for 700 or more. I'll make my money back in the process hopefully. If not, I might just keep this wheel because it's very nice. Lol. I will miss heated steering.

Maybe, right now I'm just enjoying it, lol.

I found a heated sport wheel for sale. I might sell the non-sport and msport wheel and get the heated sport one perforated so that I have both functions along with a sport setup

Hi,

$700 is not too bad considering its steering wheel + Sport airbag + trim...
I paid $ 620 for mine...can you pls tell me real quick how you managed to get the airbag off? I know the DIY but I totally failed getting it off I tried for at least 1/2 hour to get to the spring to take out the airbag, you know the 2 small holes on either side...what the secret? Thanksss

I used a sport trim. I have the m sticker but I don't think I'll put it on. Looks cleaner without it.

This was a tough process, but there is a DIY on the forum about removing the nonsport airbag. After reading that it took me like 20 seconds! I'm on my phone right now but when I get home I'll post a link.

I read the DIY on the forum and even had the printout with me but I just couldn't get the right angle obviously to push in the springs in those 2 small slits...Whats the secret like on what kind of an angle did you manage to get the spring out? How long should the flathead screwdriver be approx? Or do you have a better tool?
