The build configurator for the E92 328i has been updated on the BMW USA web site with the 152-style wheel on the M-Sport Package. The price change actually makes the total package I ordered Sep-2010 and took delivery in Oct-2010 a little cheaper, albeit with a wheel downgrade (152 < 193M).

That's only because you bought an Automatic. It seems BMW is trying to steer people clear of manual transmission cars. The changes lowered the price for Automatics but were effectively a price increase for manual transmissions & basic sport packages, since M-sport is now the only sport option.

I just price a 328xi coupe on the bmwusa.com website. Where does it says that the M-Sport Package come with the 152 wheels ? There is no description on the website.

Well, considering we have not been able to order anything but the March 1 changes since 2/5, I think it's pretty reasonable to be able to see what you're ordering at the time you order it. Considering I placed my order on 2/4 (24 days ago) and I still can't configure my car on their website to see exactly what it looks like, I think I'm entitled to "complain."

And when you consider this is a multi -billion dollar international company, I think its pretty reasonable to expect them to update their website to reflect what you can order.

Well I did order an Auto and no sport package...so what should I do the MSRP is now $500 cheaper for me. I guess I will have to wait to see what promotions change to tomorrow. Maybe they will extend an AUTO credit across the board to all E90's rather than just the 335.

My CA passed on the difference between the base price hike and the free auto-transmission at invoice. Worked out to be a $410 savings. You should talk to your CA about it.

If you configure the 328i with M-Sport and go to the exterior photos there is a shot of the car with the 152s...





Oops the BYO page up above didn't load up correctly earlier, so I didn't see it. oh well duplicate post. I'm not a huge fan of the 152s. Would have been better if they allowed you to upgrade to 193M's or something or more incentive to upgrade to new wheels. :-)

^^ i know i hate the 152's. I was excited for the 193m's but my production date was this week so i'm getting the post march m package. Anyway you think the dealer could order the 193's and they would trade plus the difference?

Wouldn't hurt to ask and if they won't, you can keep an eye out in the For Sale threads/forums, I've seen 193M's in good/new conditions on sale pop up every so often.

If you do buy 193M on your own time, you can see if you can sell the tires to someone looking for winter rims for the next season or maybe to someone who does like them..

I don't mind the 152's that are going to be on my car....not the best rims I have seen.

I think it's my mild OCD that likes that they are even not 1 spoke then 2 spokes...

Also, I know I didn't order a M so I'm OK not having M wheels

Very interesting. I just went to the BMW website and built my exact same 2011 335 xdrive M-sport that I got in October. It has a MSRP that is $1440 more now. I'm glad I got mine when I did. I can definitely live without my car reading my friend's status updates to me.

It seems like you can no longer select the Harman Kardon without BMW assist. This wasn't the case before March 1st. Is this also a part of this downgrade?

What model? I don't see that happening when I build either a coupe or vert. When I build a 328 I get a "suggestion" to add assist but I can remove assist and Harman remains.

Their website is currently down for maintenance. Hopefully that means they'll be updating it to reflect ALL the changes.

I saw it but it may be a bug because it added it one time but not another time. and last time I looked it was being finicky by wanting ipod/usb option with hk selected and bmw assist...

Btw i was configuring a 328i coupe.

Thanks guys. I was configuring a 328i sedan, but I tried the 328i coupe just in case, and I saw the same thing.

Maybe it's just a bug. God I hope it is.

Btw guys...if your MSRP's dropped due to the March changes...My dealer passed along the savings to me, because they aren't invoiced until the car hits VDC...So my window sticker will actually reflect the March price changes.
