I have TomTom 5 for PDA on my LifeDrive and it lists that it will work on your IPAQ. I use it for when I am out of town as I have the NAV system in the car. It also works great if you are walking around town. You can buy just the software if you have your own GPS receiver or you can buy the combo with the receiver with it. Any bluetooth receiver will work, I had the one that came with it and it worked great then I lost it so I bought different one and I have had no issues with it.

I've been using these since 2003. Work like charm.

I use IGuidance 3 on a Dell Axim 30 -- it works great. You will need a bluetooth receiver, and can generally find them bundled with whatever software you go for. Check out Aximsite.com (HP users are allowed) and do a search and you'll find many dicussions, comparisons, reviews of GPS software/hardware for PPCs.

The site you want to look at is www.gpspassion.com. You'll find more information and get more feedback than you ever wanted regarding all types of GPS systems.
Also, one of the sites sponsors, Semsons(www.semsons.com) is very highly recommended by almost everyone who has provided an opinion. If there's a problem, they'll fix it. Personally, I run iGuidance 3.0 on a Dell x51v with a Globalsat BT-338 (bluetooth gps receiver). It works very well. I bought it this past May. You may wish to look into some of the newer gps receivers that have been released since - smaller and more accurate. Hope this helps |
