i stand corrected, i just read the article. they moved them back 2cm, i dont know how i didnt notice that. so it must be my fault i keep hitting the rear window switch since they have addressed this problem.

If you drive with a suitable driving position (not gangsta style), it will not be a problem. German drivers are serious about their driving and it is illustrated with they ergonomic designs of their vehicles.

Haha this happens to me too! Glad I'm not the only one. I feel like such an idiot when I end up rolling down the rear window. I've gotten a bit more conscious about it though and always reach farther up the side of the door to make sure I've got the right switch now.

I would think that most of us are not 16 years old riding around "gangsta" as you say. I can reach the radio and climate controls fine with even bending forward but the window switches are still just a little out of reach.

Funny this thread was just recently created. I took a friend for a spin in my car last weekend for the first time. From standing outside the car inspecting everything, to the WOT sprint up the highway on-ramp, he was completely impressed. Until the one critical comment he made, "Why is the window button so far away from me? It's completely on the far side of the door handle too."
Being 6'5", the reachability of, well, anything in the car had never occured to me until that moment. |

Yeah.. But I'm 6'4 and have the same issue. (I liked them on the center console in the E46).

Actually, if they were clustered together instead of spread out, I'd like to see them back on the center console as well. |
