NYE in Vegas.

Hey guys.

Anyone going Vegas for new years? I'll be coming from Australia to celebrate!

Are there any dance parties or something outside the strip? Or which clubs would you all recommend?

I've been reading reviews and everyone keeps saying how packed the clubs get where you can't exactly move or dance. Any ideas guys on where to party NYE?

Since you're coming from Australia you might have fun. But to be honest Vegas is too crowded on NYE to have any fun. Did it once and decided never again.

Im going. I highly suggest booking your hotel now. Do you like House music? Marquee, XS, Surrender, and Tao will be throwing some of the greatest parties. I suggest keeping up with whose there but if you just wanna party, pick one of those and you should be good.

We booked the venetian already from the 30th dec to the 4 jan. Yup i'd prefer house over hip hop. We might try wait for the line ups to come out before we buy our tix. How much are tickets roughly? Which club you planning on heading to bro?

Cheers.

every single club will have a party. xs is pretty nice, i bought a scalped ticket for $20 once (it wasn't nye).

you could always just cruise the strip, plenty of drunk people walking around (entire street is closed)

Nice! im staying at the cosmo with my friends from the 29th Dec til the 2nd of Jan. Roughly 100 to 250. It gets high if you wait to long. Since were there for 4 nights, we plan to hit Marquee and XS through those consecutive nights. Maybe Surrender or Haze(depending on whose playing there) but mostly those 2.

While the clubs in Vegas are always fun, I'd suggest being out on the strip at midnight, then going to a club after that. On NYE, the strip is completely closed to traffic allowing everyone to walk out in the street. Each hotel fires off their own fireworks show making it a hell of an experience. Basically, get your pre-party on in the street with the crowd and fireworks, then head to a club. Just be sure to make a reservation at a club well before your trip, as most people waiting in lines for clubs on NYE probably won't get in.

I might be going. If I do, will def do a bottle service. Vegas is not worth it without bottle on NYE. Don't end up welcoming 2013 in a line. Welcomed 2009 in line. Horrible experience.

Marquee seems to be the spot. When do they normally start releasing lineups and ticket info?

It varies by the club and the bottle. A bottle of Absolut vodka could go for $400, while a bottle of Chopin vodka could be around $550. They key is to find out how many people the club will let spilt the bottle. Usually they say 3-4 people per bottle, so if you have a group of 8, you would definitely need two bottles. Depending on who's in your group of 5 will determine if you can get away with one bottle or not. If you happen to be a group of 2 guys and 3 girls, then the club may allow one bottle for your group. If you are a group of 5 guys, expect to buy two bottles.

When you decide which club to go to, call before your trip to make reservations especially since it will be NYE. They will put you in touch with a host who can answer your bottle service questions and set up your reservation. This will be the person you contact when you are making your way to the club as well, so they have a heads up to meet you at the entrance in order to seat your group.

It should somewhere around 3-4K for 10-12 people. $400-500 is regular nights. I remember we were trying to get a bottle last year in pure and it was $3k. We ended up going to SF since I could not get enough people to go. Marquee is the top spot so don't expect less than $4-5k. Roughly $400-$600 per person. Prices should be out in mid-november. Not sure though.

5 people should be around 2k. Start checking in November on vegas.com or call the club directly. We went to LAX in 2009 and got in line around 10:45. Made it in the club at 12:15. Pathetic. After that, whenever its an occasion, I make sure to get the bottle. If no occasion then just get there early.

2k is still cheap. M talking about bottle service on NYE. Wait for the prices to come out. Cruising on the strip is the best but you can't and don't wanna do that with your gf and bunch of other girls in the group.

Can someone tell me about Surrender @ Wynn? Do they have good strip views? And hows the venue like?

Looks like they have started selling tickets for NYE 13.

Surrender is nice. U can go out and see the strip but it's not that great of a view since encore is towards the end of the strip. U can see the mall. Lol. I prefer surrender for pool partying over clubbing. U won't really find too many clubs with strip view though. Pure IMO is best since it's an outdoor club.

why do these guys pay $600+ each for bottle service?

I never understood it

Then again, I'm not the type that gets drunks/parties/goes clubbing more than once a year, if that.
I just can't fathom spending money on drinking/clubbing. I mean...why? What's the point? To hook up? If you need to spend that kind of money to maybe get a woman, then just hire an escort for around 500- 1k and call it a night. Guaranteed, no need to "try," and she will do what you say.

Hell, I remember when I was there during memorial day weekend and I heard it was like $50 to get into a club. I said screw that... spent that $50 at roulette and basically got a free vegas trip and then some out of it.

I have lots of friends who go and not one has ever been able to explain to me why... all they say is "it's worth it" with no explanation.

I would rather spend $3k and go to Asia then one night in Vegas.....

badazzm, can you explain it?
