I think the air vents in my car is not closing properly.
Does not matter what setting I use on the dash board If I drive behind a smokey vehicle all the fumes end up in my car. I have 2 green LED's on the switch left is Auto and the right is Close. This is an ongoing problem since I bought the car 2 and half years back brand new. BMW dealer checked it few times and all working fine according to them. Wondering whether anyone out there having the same problem or could suggest something to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean you could not block the air vents completely?

If smell is an issue, I'd suggest that you should check your microfilter and replace it if dirty, it is an easy 5-10mins job.

When my car is set to auto it will still let in smelly air so auto doesnt work. It does however stop smelly air when I manually set it to recirculate.
