That's definitely what I would like to see

I have the V3, the color changing ability of the V4 is nice & ingenious, but prolly not something I would change around frequently - once I set it to match the xenons that's where it would stay.

Now if V4 is visibly brighter than V3, then that interests me - can never be too bright

Site says 'Ready to Ship Next Week' I assume that means the week of 5/13?

I forsee a 'glut' of used V3's in the classifieds section upcoming

BTW, that flat side that correlates to OEM H8 connector as far as clocking/alignment is great - if you're going from factory to V4. Going from V3 to V4 it ain't gonna be any help

Thanks...well now you have the next "big" thing to work on! haha

Would be great if it was to ever have this option, it could be an add on, so we wouldn't have to buy a whole new setup.

Love the color options though...very clean looking!

Ok. Are those comparable brightness-wise to the H8 v4?

Thanks.

Very cool product! I'm content with my V3's but when I need to upgrade this will be it.

Question of the day:

As a previous LUX h8 owner, I sold them because of the contrast in the inner and outer ring, not only did I feel the outer ring was dimmer, it was actually kinda looked like a different color.

I know the AE design is limited in itself, but does this new product address that at all? I just couldn't help but ask sorry, looks good tho

If the v4 is that much brighter than the v3 then I am sold.

they are damn bright compared to my old MTEC bulbs. i will try and get some better shots other than my cell

this i think was at 6900k..... the coloring and brightness is very hard to represent in a photo due the exposure time someone uses. but i will say the 8k+ are blue

Would take you 30 seconds to change the color. It's very easy to get to the bulbs.

How long are we talking about before they ship?

Could I get a price shipped to Ireland please?

I assume there's no problem fitting these to a Euro E93 335i?

i literally just bought a brand new set of v3's from you guys like a week ago. If i had known these were coming out, i'd have waited..

Any chance of trading them in for the V4?

Define 'significantly' in a percentage.

Saying significant is very subjective depending on personal preference and is a safe way of saying its 'brighter' without giving us a real number behind it.

Still would be easier to press a button. Plus aren't some cars harder to get to...ie have to go through the fender well?? Doesn't really make it conducive to change the color temp. That is all I am saying...

Sucks to see LUX isn't giving any intro or group buy, or even some kind of trade up from current owners to upgrade to the newer product. Even more so for guys that literally just got there V3's. Wish they would of handled this intro better for us members/customers who are loyal customers who paid a prem. for there product as they are known to be good vendor here on e90post.

I am def interested if these prove to be brighter then the V3's. Looking forward to comparison and independent comparison. Don't care much for the Color changing effect as long as they match my HID or the new bmw oem LED rings. For me, the V3 color was perfect.

1. I like how these are brighter...my V3's are good on inner ring but outer ring intensity marginal.

2. are these easier to install?????...well at least one side is flat now...having to gash my hand and getting cramp every time not fun...the plastic tabs need to be trimmed thinner imho...hard put push flush into socket as there is no leverage since our hands barely fit inside the troll hole to install.

3. yeah a discount for loyal members who have bought several versions from LUX in the past would have been nice.

I have installed twice now and each time it took over an hour...we need a better system to install.

My understanding is that this will cover pre-lci e92? Perhaps I am wrong/missing something.

That user is referring to the E90 pre-lci sedan, not the E92 coupes

1- The outer ring is brighter, but the inner ring is where it is the brightest. The outer ring can only be so bright do to the physcial design of the headlight and the actual ring itself
2- Yes. We ahve a new cone shape of the heatsink to line them up much easier. As well the single flat side lines up where the stock bulb would be so it is easier to line it up and lock into place
3- We are looking into the options of what we can do here.

Only the E90 pre-lci Sedan's need to go in through the fender, all other cars access it from the top. We are going to look into a remote option for these, but that would require a complete overhaul of the product and would take a very long time

We are working on pictures as well. the V3's were around 700-800 lumen. The V4's are closer to 1000 lumen, but due to the new design features the light output in enhanced making the inner ring much brighter while also making the outer ring brighter as well
