Replacing Run Flat Tires
I took my 335i coupe to the dealership and my S.A. said that I need to have the front left and back left run flat tires replaced upon returning my lease in about 17 months because of some bubbles on the tires. I have only driven the car about 6,800 miles and think it would be best to just replace the run flats with normal tires and later return the car with the original tires and the new two new run flat tires I need to but which come out to $898.00.
Which tires should I get that would be the best bang for the buck? Do I still need to get a staggered set up which includes wider tires in the back than in the front or should I get the same size tires? Any help would be appreciated. Also, I was wondering if these tires got messed up because they were over inflated by the dealership. Any suggestions would help greatly. Thanks. |

If you have sport package I believe you have staggered wheels I think its 225 up front and 255 in the rear.
As for good none run flat tires there's a bunch to choose from and everyone has their opinion on which one is best. I personally run Falken 452s which can be had for less than $700 for the full set. I have run Falkens on all the cars I've owned and so far I've been very happy with them. The $898 for 2 run flats seems high. You should be able to get some for around $300 a piece. |

Would you not be required to return the car with Run Flats since that is what was on the car when you got it? Should have got the wheel and tire insurance

I changed mine out for Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric (Summer, not all-season), 225/40-18 front, 255/35-18 rear. So far, so good...much less expensive than RFs and very good ride/noise/performance quality.

Buy whatever tires you want to run on ... As for lease return, all you need is Run Flats at 5/32 tread, buy a couple of used ones (look on here every week or so, a lot of people sell them)
