If your car has satellite, SiriusXM is letting you listen to 60 channels for free Nov 14 - Nov 27

I've been signing up for the their $25 for 5 months promotion. I call in a couple of days before the end of the promotion and they renew it for the same rate.
$5 a month isn't too bad for satellite radio... |

Thanks for the heads up. I unsubscribed (3+ year customer) when XM/Sirius wouldn't renew at the same price and demanded I pay $14 a month for two radios. The cancelation process is also a nightmare.
I'll push my XM button on my rdx tomorrow! With unlimited-sorta on my iPhone, satellite radio is no longer a must.

It's works greeeat, especially for free! Works this AM and bumpin on my commute. I'm trying to reduce usage on my ATT "unlimited" data for the week that matters most (Thanksgiving travels and music streaming on road-trips!). I started listening to "Holly" to have an early kick-start of December!

So, has anyone else had the pleasure of dealing with their customer service?
Pathetic to say the least. I bought my 330i in April used, so I wasn't altogether shocked when my esn# wasn't recognized. So I assumed a simple call and I'd be on my way. Wrong. My first call, after about ten minues of conversation they ultimately recognized the unit as being installed in a BMW, but then said they couldn't offer me the promo as it was for online radio only. He did of course offer to sell me a monthly membership at $15. NO thanks. Didn't think that was right, but I hung up anyway. Called back today. Same deal, recognized the unit as BMW, but then said, we can't hook you up on this phone number, you need this number........and she proceeded to give me the number I used to call her. Oh then try online.........did that with no success. Lots of confusion on their end but absolutely no interest in helping. All she could do was keep telling me I needed to call someone else, with the same number I had used to call her. I really wanted to check the service out, but given the piss-poor customer service I can't see why I'd ever become a paying customer. I should add that from the sound of things, I was speaking to an Indian call center, which again is not encouraging. Too bad. |

RE: Customer Service...
It's definitely hit or miss -- I have had Sirius, XM and now SiriusXM for many years -- I found the "$77 for a year" thread on an Acura forum many years ago and have been using their script for renewals ever since. Some times the person actually acts like they know what they are talking about and has the ability to help, while the next time the person can't hardly spend the time to say hello -- I have been hung up on, put on hold until I finally hung up, etc...it's a shame because their bad customer service is losing a lot of customers for them. |
