Debating between the PC7427 and the Meguiars DA

I'm kind of leaning more towards the Meguiars just so that i can easily follow their line up on pads and products to use. Seems like a good one to go with for a complete noob.

I would recommend the Griots Garage 6. That was the machine I bought and I love it. More power than the megs and pc.

I'm going to look into it. But a lot of power is what I thought I had to avoid as a noob?

I know there used to be a few guys that enjoyed following my detail work. I brought up that I would continue to share with you guys even though I left for Germany and it was welcomed.

Just finished this one today.

Last night I got an email from ebay congratulating me on an item that i won. I sent a super low ball offer on a Meguiars DA a while back and it was accepted. Guess this will be my starting machine lol.

Happy you were able to stretch your legs again. Mike would go crazy if someone told me I couldn't care for my car. Lol.

For now I'm going to stick with the Meguiars line up. So ill start with the yellow and black pads. And I'll either go with the m105 + m205 or the Ultimate Compound + Ultimate Polish. I'm going to look for a 3" backing plate to do the front and rear bumpers with.

I might go with the latter, since I've been using the 2 bucket method since I picked this car up, so the paint is in decent conditions. I'm barely starting to see swirls beginning.

Hey Jr! Doing fine here. The Autobahn is a blast!

I live on the detailing forums. Lol

Sounds good Jr. If you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask. Also Jace aka 07_335i_AW is local and you should meet up with him if you have a chance.

Thanks Jace! It does drive me crazy not being able to keep my car up to par, but a drive down the autobahn cures me. lol

Jr, I would go with the Ultimate Coumpound+Ultimate Polish route as it much easier to work with than the M105+M205 route.

Just as a tidbit of information, I have achieved much better results with Lake Country 5.5x7/8 Hydrotech pads and the Wolfgang line up of polishes on both of my Jet Black BMW's. You would be better off with this route. Let me know if you need further info.

I'm in Germany now and 07_335i_AW aka Jace is the man for the job. I just contribute my work here as I did before when living in Vegas.

I have also heard that Jace is the man for detail work. I have seen some of it and it definitely looks damn near perfect. I also make others people work look better after I see my own work. Wish I could afford a proper full detail

E93 headlight issue

anyone have this issue or recommend who I can have check it out without crazy dealer prices? I have a 2009 E93 335 convertible and both low beam lights are working but the driver's side is extremely dull compared to the bright passenger side? what does this mean? Is the driver side bulb out? If so how much does it cost to fix?

Thanks

Saw a nice white E90 pre-LCI last night on Southern Highlands Pkwy. Black wheels, blacklines, etc.

Jace...where are you located? Interested in meeting to discuss a stage 4 or stage 5 detail. Thanks!

You can try and have JPR check it out. Ask for Ralph +1 (702) 794-0123 they're cool. I've been bringing my car to them instead of the dealership for repairs.
