My run flats are due for imminent retirement following months of abuse.

Looking for good recommendations here. The stock potenzas are good handling wise IMO but they are bumpy and loud I know all RFT tend to be like that but is there any good recommendation if I want to have a little more comfort but with no major compromise?

Get Michelin Super sports and buy a puncture aerosol inflater for emergency, or call the HKAA.

If you want to stick with RFT, try Michelin

Actually I was trying to talk myself into regular tires. OK, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 it will be... (super sport seems to be an overkill for my 325i)

Hi E90 brother, Pilot Super Sport (PSS) is a newer model to replace Pilot Sport 2 (PS2).
PS3 is acknowledged to be a more comfort oriented tyre than the above 2 models.
The inflater cans can be bought from any gas station and most of the car accessories shops. I bought mine with $70.

Ended up getting the Michelin PSS. Thanks again everyone for your recommendations.

After one day of driving with these tires, I must say I am very impressed. Smoother and quieter yet you don't get "disconnected" from the road at all. And it was just exhilarating cornering uphill on Smithfield Road at 80km/h+ and feeling I still haven't reached its limit.

Yeah, way better than those RFTs. Worth every penny.

How are the pp2 compared to the ps3, i know pp2 is an old tyre but which one of the two have a stiffer sidewall?

I have tried PP2, PS3, PS2 RFT and now PSS. I have to say PS3 is more quiet and more solid in terms of handling comparing to PP2. PS2 RFT is a bit more bumpy and noisy, but the good thing is I can still drove the car around even when the tire didn't hold any pressure at all. I don't have to say anymore for PSS as so many attests the superior handling in both dry and wet condition. It's still abit noisier than PS3 though.

Did you find the ps3 sidewall softer then the pp2, as the ps3 seems more comfort oriented.

If you are going to put them on E90, I don't think the side wall is too soft as those were on my E46 before and i think they were just right. Btw, If those are your only choice, definitely go for PS3 as this is more like the successor of PP2.

already put pp2 in my e90 325i & loving it
TBH i put them side by side the PP2 & PS3 & according to me the PS3 looked like an economic & comfort tyre compare the the PP2s

Couldn't help but add this... even going over potholes seem to be fun now Loving my PSS.

Too bad no chance to check out the PS3...
