turn the computer OFF, then use a soft cloth, dampened with rubbing alcohol. try it on one key first to see if the letters will rub off.

Since we're on this topic, I've always been wondering how the MacBook people clean their keyboards. Mine's a mess inside and I honestly don't want to open anything up because that voids my warranty which is coming to an end.

I have a macbook. I bought these "cleaning wipes" from costco. Work really well. Just turn off the computer, wipe the screen, wipe the keyboard, use a dry towel / microfiber / whatever to wipe off any excess liquid from the wipes, and your set
