Nice Coupe - Suspicious Mileage?

This looks really nice, an SE Coupe but with quite a 'sporty' spec:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...82da?logcode=p

Is it odd that an 07 Reg car has only done 20,000 miles though?

Not from my perspective.

Had mine from new since Sept 07 and only just done 25K........I consider that high mileage for me !

read the text, 27000 miles. Pisses me off when traiders put the wrong mileage so cars come up in searches when they shouldnt.

Interior needs nav IMHO too.

Just looked at the advert, theres lots of incorrect/conflicting info in there. Mileage is actually 27k in the text for example.

Its nowhere near as well specced as mine either.....

Well spotted. Yes, 27K and 20K quite different.

Nav is a good feature, but imho the second 'bulge' ruins the look of the dash.

All in all though, quite a good price/spec combination, yeah? If that car was at a BMW dealers I would probably be very tempted to go test drive it.

Over priced.

My AUC of similar age and spec was lot less than that 12m ago.

These cars dont go up in value.

+1

I picked up a 56 reg 335i SE with 22k in Nov 09. Had Business nav, business sound, heated seats and quite a few more extras for £18.5k from BMW AUC. Admittedly I got them down on the price a bit. That 330i looks expensive for what it is.

Ok. Thanks. Sensible answers all. I keep forgetting that the SE coupe doesn't have sport suspension as standard.

Plus, I don't know how comfortable I'd be buying a car for that amount from an independent dealer rather than an AUC.

You have to be really careful. Went to see a 330D at CarGiant yesterday, practically the whole car has been painted. The damage repaired wasn't serious, but the repair job was awful. Shame as it was a total spec low mileage full history car with new boots all round too.

Indeed. Too much of a risk to spend this kind of money buying a car from an independent, I reckon. Need that little bit of confidence getting an AUC gives you, not that's any cast-iron guarantee, but still.

Might sell my car privately, though, to maximise what I can get for it. Dealers will probably not offer me enough on part-ex.
