wastegate rattling.. which dealers to take?

Wastegate is rattling and it's really annoying. I'm thinking about taking it to the Dealership. I have jb4 installed. Should I take DCI and jb4 out before I go? and which dealership would you recommend? This should be covered under 8 year 80k turbo warranty right?

K - I usually like them better over at BMW of Silver Spring. Did you pick a dealer yet?

My service adviser is Kristina over at BMW of SS and my tech is Dan.
Dan's a good friend of mine and knows his stuff. If you decide you wanna roll out that way, i know they'll take care of you.

I do recommend BMW of SS as well. They just replaced my turbos and they did a fantastic job!

What are the odds of them trying to void my CarMax warranty if I go in there modded to the teeth?

Theoretically, I shouldn't have to worry about mods, since the WG rattle is such a prevalent issue... but something tells me they'll try to pin it on mods for a void.

Technically you dont have to take it to carmax for their warranty work. Ive repaired many cars with the Carmax warranty at my shop and they Pay us directly and are really good to work with. But your problem needs to be legit and easily reproducible.

i have a carmax extended warranty too. i've been searching on google and most of them said they send individuals from maxcare to inspect the car before repair.

from my understanding, bmw must report if the car is modded in case a rep happens to be there (or comes by to verify the necessity of the report). does anyone have details on if my car being modded would be a problem for the carmax warranty? the n54 wg rattle is widespread, but i just know that theyd try to pin it on mods.

i think bmw covers wastegate rattle issue as long as its under 80k and its not over 8 years old.
