sidemarker bulb replacment ?

I am able to take off the sidemarker off my e92 to replace the bulb with an LED one but i cant seem to access the bulb... its stuck on there good. Anyone have any tips... I dont want to break the damn thing...

twist it, if you do happen to break it, it still locks in place quiet snugly

I broke the clips trying to take out the bulbs.

Good thing the LEDs don't use the clips.

I broke one of mine too.

so after opening twist it to unlock it dont pull? it looks so fragile lol

twist while slightly tilting it outward away from the side with the clip, worked for me. If it is tight at first, use a little screwdriver to help the clip out a bit, after the first time they unclip it gets pretty easy to undo.

Are we all talking about the same thing? lol this is hard to get off. I unplugged it from the car... but i cant access the bulb... this is tough getting it free

Sean,

Just untwist the white plastic part and pull it out. You can then pull the bulb out.

I tried but the white part has this white clip that i can't pull apart... it wont untwist at all... i have tried both sides

LOL this should be so easy! i installed everything on my car and this is giving me trouble.... ugh!!!

I found that if you use a small flat head screwdriver to lift up the end of the little white tab (enough to clear the ridge holding it in place), while you are simultaneously twisting the bulb socket, you can do it without breaking the tab.
