Ride quality comparison on a e92 335i?

Does anyone know what the difference may be in terms of ride quality and comfort between the Koni Yellows with Eibach Pro-Kit and the BC BR coilovers, if both are lowered to the same height and have the same dampening adjustments?

That would be impossible!

The eibach pro kit lowers like a inch and you get the bc coilovers to be lowered 1 inch then adjust the dampening to be similar like say a 2-3 clicks from soft on the BCs and say quarter of a 360 turn from full soft on the koni yellows.

The BC's will be stiffer because the spring rate is much higher on them so it will take a lot more force to compress the BC's 1" than the Eibach's.

It's all about what your preferences are

I always suggest a setup like Koni's and Eibach's over lower end coilovers. BC coilovers use much higher spring rates to compensate for dampening that isn't intended for the specific vehicle. They typically use the same universal shock in all of their vehicles to reduce costs.

Ok, I was hoping I will not have to explain it further.
-eibach and bc springs will have different rate
-koni and bc shocks will have different valving
-adjustments on dampening will not be identical
-operation range of shaft valve would be different when lowered at same height
Again, is impossible.

Koni yellows also are only rebound adjustable while BC's dampening adjustment adjusts bump and rebound together so like feuer said, there's no way to compare the two setups.

Thank you everyone. So the general consensus is that Koni Yellows with Pro kit would have a better ride quality than the BC coilovers because of: the better shock design of the Konis, softer spring rates of the Eibachs, better valving of the Konis compared to the BC shocks?

Correct. Koni would last longer and they have life time warranty. Coil overs are not build with durability or comfort in mind.

If you want the ride to stay as close to OEM then yes, spring shock combo will be your best bet. It's definitely been confirmed many times to be a good, comfortable setup.

Coils are not necessarily uncomfortable but BC's, for example, are for those who want to have more freedom to put aftermarket wheels and adjust the height and dampening to accommodate those wheels. They are meant for street driving and occasional track day. I just ordered a set for myself.
