Aaaah right, there's an Atom video on youtube featuring about 9 atoms cruising through London to the sound of "London Calling". They're accompanied by a 911 GT3 driver who is "waiting for his Atom to be delivered".

if it was a 300bhp one, i would say from a rolling start at 40-50 it would be neck and neck to 70-80 then you would start pulling away,

no wonder he trashed you from a standing start, full throttle launch on a 4wd and your gone, but like a said a rolling start would have had a different outcome, (if it was a 300bhp one or even a 330bhpo one)

being 4wd the trans losses are much much higher than a 2wd so rolling races are better for the 2wd!

carl

p.s remember though he may have beaten you, but his car is not a patch on yours for style, elegance, power and beauty

his is just a rice racer LOL

So ZiM, dont feel too put-down by getting your ass kicked.

I think our chipped 335d's should hold-up well against Scooby's but not much chance against the insane Evo's.
Ahh-well - you cant have it all - LOL
LOL at enzo having trouble with it (the 400bhp evo), 0-60 there is nothing in it after 60 the enzo would annihlate it totally

as i friend of mine put it, don't worry if you get beaten by "japcrap" (no offence) you have a premium badge luxury car, with quality and prestige and if i want to go EVO fast I will buy one or indeed a tesco trolley and strap on a engine!

PS anyone know the 0-100 time of the 335D? i know the 335i is officially 12.9, but plenty of sources state 12.1-2 espically for the auto box.

this vid of the 335i auto 0-60 makes me smile.. hope its real

dazza me old chap, i am thinkin its easily into the low 13's to the ton nick did a 14.0 at 102 so that near enough confirms it

and thats one diesel, remember there are loads of 335i's on the strip

wait till we get plenty of diesels out there maybe they might be able to get into the 12 stock to the ton

You should have stuck with him, he would soon have stopped at a chemist for some Anadins, buzzboxes are quick(traction helps) but make your ears ring.

Evo is shit. Mitsubishi's are shit.
Jap cars just piss me off. What pisses me off is guys driving honda civics with big exhauts and thinking they can beat me in a bmw.
Japanese performance tv shows are so bias, how can a porche 911 turbo lose to a evo lancer? Thats rediculous. Thats like saying a Honda beat a ferrari.
Japanese people can't drive german cars.

I drove several Jap cars and none can handle better than my 323i.
Lexus is350 is basicly a toyota corolla on steriods.
Nothing special.

I'm sorry but thats just how I feel towards Jap cars.
///M all the way!

thats a harsh view you've got there matey... i for one love jap cars, my last being an integra type-r and i'm sorry to say it handled the pants off my 335d and it was fwd...

but like i've said many times, i'd still have the bmw... but i'll always have a passion for jap cars aswell for the performance aspect, i just appreciate good cars regardless of coutry of origin / manufacturer etc...

for starters, in my fantasy garage would be a Nissan Skyline R34 V-Spec II and a Honda NSX Type-R, but there would also be an M6 (you gotta just love german and jap stuff, worlds apart i know but both have massive appeal to me )

Well even though i dont want one they are certainly not shit. Lets face it if your going to buy a nice 330i you're not really going to be looking for an Evo are you ? An Evo is a fantastic car, yes the interior is shite but we all know what its design brief was and it does it in style.
And yes i do think an Evo with 360+ and YAW would beat a 996 turbo on the back roads in fact im pretty sure even a 300 bhp Atom would struggle unless your a fantastic driver trying to shake one from your rear on uk roads and remember thats a car with a power to weight ratio more than a ferrari Enzo ????????

ZIM Honda NSX R .......... Class Class Class i would have that over a 355 ferrari anyday

I wouldn't hate on the Evo just because it's fast and not German.

True but the NSX is no spring chicken either, but ok i would take the NSX type R over a 360 anyday , a 430 though might be pushing it though .

And ZiM- don't be disappointed - I know which car I'd rather have.

We'll we're talking about 70,000$ and UP jap cars than thats differnt. Because I would love a Skyline or a Rx7 Last gen.
But the interiors of those cars are trash though. In canada you cannot buy those cars due to emissions. One bad thing about jap cars I don't like is that they have "toyish" looks to it. A bmw is respected everywhere and is seen as a luxery/performance car. Where as a jap car has a very bad image. In general a bmw can pick up more girls than a honda can.

And if I wanted any other jap car I would want a real S15 Silvia unfortunatly those cars are unable to be purcashed in Canada so I wouldn't go near the jap cars in North America.

Totally agree. I'm amazed at all these 'japcrap' and 'ricer' comments.

The Evo's are SUPERB drivers cars.
