so my mechanic filled my tank with 92ron

He filled my tank with 92 ron fuel. what should i do? should i try to syphone the gas out the tank? its just street driving. it will be pain to drive out the whole tank of gas at low speeds all the time to avoid detonation.

You'll only have a problem at full boost - hard driving. There are knock sensors to prevent damage when lower quality fuel is used.

And if it's 92 octane based on the (R+M)/2, that fuel is perfectly fine for 335s. If it's 92RON - Research Octane Number, then take it easy on the engine until you can refill with higher grade. Research Octane and Motor Octane numbers differ, where Motor Octane is a number based on harder use than Research Octane. MON will always be lower than RON. The actual number on the pump is the average of the two (hence (R+M)/2).

Octane booster is a waste of money..if you cant get 5 gal of racing gas to mix in just run off a 1/4 tank & top it up a few times & it will be OK.

octane booster isnt going to do a damn thing ,except turn your plugs red.

take it easy on the car, put racing gas in the car and your good to go.

Drive moderately for roughly 1/2 a tank and then fill with 98 RON. The resulting mixture should be fine.
