Question about M-Sport

Has anyone had any issues ordering the M-Sport package with a manual tranny? I am trying to have my SA put in the order this morning and he is claiming that you cannot order the M-Sport package without the step tranny.

If that's the case...I will be really pissed.

hell no. you can buy the m-sport in any transmission but it only comes in certain colors. dump that dealer asap.

Yeah that's what I thought. Well I am making him call BMW to phone the order in...I won't take anything less than what I ordered. Especially for the money! This ain't no Honda where I can't get the floor mats I want...

Use a different CA who knows what he/she is doing.

Your CA is stupid. I have a lemans blue 335i in manual on it's way. As poster above mentioned, the m sport package however is only available in a handful of colors. Get a new CA since if he doesn't know this info, I would be afraid of what other more important things he doesn't know.

My order is in and it's perfect!

Sorry for my over excitement. I've never bought a car without conceding on SOMETHING. Never ordered a car straight from the manufacturer exactly how I wanted it.

This. Is. Awesome. Now the 8 weeks begins!

Your CA definitely is a moron. Go to a different dealer. I picked up mine couple of weeks ago.

Oh and he claimed that it was a "computer glitch" that was causing the problems. Fixed it by using someone else's computer...Being an IT consultant...I'm not sure I buy it. Knowing what I know about centrally located, database-driven, web-based ordering systems and all. haha. Just glad that it got done.

Glad you got it worked out.

I just ordered an E92 335i today with M-Sport and manual. I would have been a bit peeved if my CA called and said it couldn't be done.

Does anyone know the official reason why M Sport is not offered for other colors, e.g., Crimson Red? I just see this as ridiculous given it's just a matter of color!

Ask BMW marketing !When I toured the manufacturing plant in Dingolfing a few years ago,I asked why we couldn't get Pearl white,our guide said "talk to marketing".I still don't understand why they don't offer the same colors worldwide,Canada and Europe get other colors that we can't and if you want custom or individual colors,it starts at 5K on a 3 series,that's crazy !The cars are coming off the same production line !
