Clicking Noise on idle after a 30min drive yesterday....

Any help is appreciated. Almost sounded like a belt...

Some further videos kind of make my sound similar to the engine lifter ticking noise

There's other threads for the same noise. No ones figured it out yet as far as I know. Mine does it occasionally, hasn't caused any problems

I just posted a video of mine too. I didnt know what the sound was either.

It is the exact same sound. Mine goes away in the vid which I thought was weird but i was ok with it lol

Not true at all for me. If I touch the throttle it goes away. If I let the engine idle, it comes back.

The sound does not increase in fequency when you rev the engine. It goes away.

Is it coming from under the throttle body? Stop above ~1000 rpms? Seems to be random intermittent? Sounds like the EVAP/surge valve to me.

I haven't heard it except that one idle, mind you I often have the car off or windows up when I get out. Ill continue to listen, but same as Pancakez, this doesn't happen but when idling, so ill have to listen for it next time and then rev rpm to 1000 and see if it goes away.

This happened to me a few times each time it would get worse and stay longer, but it was on a n52. Same exact noise though so it could be the same thing.
