EDIT on 06/02/2013 - My seedbox ISP is having connectivity issues to a few of the main BitTorrent trackers so I've added a few more public trackers to the torrent file. Please redownload the torrent file to update the list of trackers.
Seems alot of people are having problems with the previous posted torrent not being seeded anymore. So I've uploaded two new torrents, one for North America and another for Europe. The new torrents I uploaded are highly compressed to save space. Compression saves over 7gb of space per torrent. So now they are ~14gb instead of 22-23gb. You can use the attached torrent files (remove the txt extension) or you can use the magnet links below. North America 2013-1A Maps Code:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:5872993c0db24efceac95e68b4fc1317bad7d580&dn=BMW+Road+Map+North+America+PREMIUM+2013-1A&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.istole.it%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ffr33dom.h33t.com%3A3310 Code:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:3d634035e4d2e0a998dc88d0c50f1de6ba61746e&dn=BMW+Road+Map+Europe+PREMIUM+2013-2&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publicbt.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.istole.it%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3A6969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ffr33dom.h33t.com%3A3310 After you've got the maps, you can hit up anyone you'd like to receive an FSC code, myself included. I have a 2009 M3 that was not able to perform the NAV update via USB.
From a "CBS Information" report (if you don't have a copy of this report you can ask a dealership for one) the following information was revealed: The 2009 M3 had a build date of: 10/01/08. The car came from the factory with program version: E89X-08-09-520 The car had been upgraded (before I acquired it) to program version: E89X-09-03-520 With program version E89-09-03-520, I was not able to upgrade the NAV via USB. The dealership upgraded the program version to E89X-13-03-504, and charged me 1.5 hours labour. After the program version upgrade, I was immediately able to perform the NAV update via USB. If you don't have a "CBS Information" report, as others have said, when using the NAV, check to see if you can toggle the "info" box (top right hand corner of screen) by pressing down on the iDrive controller. If you are able to toggle the "info" box, you will most likely be able to perform the NAV update via USB. If you can't toggle the "info" box you will most likely need the program version upgraded on your car. I use the term "most likely" as I don't think it is yet known exactly which program version enabled NAV update via USB, but the ability to toggle the "info" box seems to be a great indicator. As an added bonus, upgrading the program version provided the following benefits: - The iDrive phone interface received a significant overhaul. - Eliminated a bug I have been annoyed with since purchasing the car. After power cycling the car, the iDrive would default to FM or SAT, even if the "Presets" was being used when the car was turned off. Now when I power cycle the car, the iDrive stays on "Presets". |

Just a tid bit...
I have a 2010 E92 and everyone here told me that my map update via the USB slot in the glovebox would not take because of my firmware...this is not always the case... I went to best buy and got a 32gb Sandisk Cruzer and WAS able to update to the 2013 maps with that, so if you are having trouble get one of those at best buy. You can always return it if it does not work. |

Thanks jwzimm for being the one to start the sharing and thanks to everyone else for continuing the sharing. I was able to download the files in 3 hours.
I will seed, across three computers, until I've reacted 100% sharing ratio or more if required. Now if only someone would just share the algorithm, lol. |

Hit up someone (there's a few, including myself), get the FSC code and enter it and it'll begin updating. |

Yes, assuming your CIC software has been updated along the way somewhere.
You can check it by going to the NAV screen to where you can see the gray info box in the upper right; click the iDrive controller knob and see if the info box goes away. If it does you've probably been updated, if it doesn't you may need to have a dealer do a software update. If still in warranty, check out the "shopping cart bug" -- claim a problem due to the bug and they should do the software update. To be sure, put the nav update on a 32GB FAT32 USB stick, plug into glovebox, and see if it asks for an FSC code. |

I have a 2010 e60. With CIC. I know this is for 3series, but I think the info is the same. If not, please forgive me.
SO I have copied the updates to my USB stick and have my fsc code... Problem is that my car doesn't recognize USB update. Ive tried the USB on the center console and the glovebox. Nothing. I see some info about a CIC firmware update? I'm pretty sure my Indy did this for me, he did a module update on my car last fall. I dont have the 2013 CIC dvd's and dont want to use them anyway. Do I need to update my CIC firmware to update from USB? If so, can it be done with an autologic? Thats what my indy uses. |

A few things I would check.
Is the USB stick formatted as FAT32. Did you copy just config.nfm and pkgdb to the root of the drive? If yes to both, then it may be a software issue on the iDrive. And yes an Indy with an auto logic can update the CIC as long as they have the optical head for the unit. |

Does anyone know if this is a one time thing or a permanent limitation for the pre 9/2009 vehicles? I am trying to figure out if: 1) I can pay the dealer to upgrade my iDrive firmware so the USB updates will work going forward, or 2) There is some hardware limitation that means I will always have to have the dealer make map updates Apologies if this info is already out there... I have read quite a bit on this and have not found the answer yet so I thought I would ask. Thanks! |

Hi guys, I have a question.
I have 2011 X5M. I downloaded the torrent file and saved in USB 32GB and got the code. So only thing I have to do is stick the USB on the center console USB port and start up?

Should be a USB port in the glovebox. That's we're you connect the USB stick.
