Just got my springs in today. Going to get up early as usually and get on it. One thing i am confused about is where do i put the jack stands when I am jacking the car up with that jack point? Search the forums, everyone says to jack the subframe? How do you guys do it?

update:
Finished both rears and the passenger front and then the rain set in. The rear has a very noticeable drop and the front passenger is not so noticeable. The driver side still has the stock xi suspension, it has about a 3.5 finger gap. The passenger side now has about a 3 finger gap. Did it lower? Yes, but not by the amount everyone else seems to be getting.

I was rushing to finish up the passenger side since it was raining, I may have seated it wrong. Although I did catch it seated wrong the first time, I corrected it so I cant see how I can seat it wrong twice in a row. Now I know how to do it, the driver side should be smooth and less errors. I will double check and then compare. First time working on german cars, I can say japanese cars are much more mechanic friendly!

Onto front springs....

I only had one jack. I found a place to place one jack stand and I was able to use the jack to lift the rotor when removing the sway arm bolt. See pics.











Almost coming out. At this point, I had to remove the jack stand since it prevented the control arm from be lowered.






only 3 months and already a nail!!!! No air leaking yet and I have an air compressor. I will deal with it when it becomes a problem.

Now here are some pictures of the front drop. You can see, its almost not much of a drop at all. The passenger side is Eibach and the driver side is still on stock xi suspension.

+1 to LaidBack. The center jacking point is probably one of the stronger, if not strongest, jacking points.

I see the center points are far in the chassis from the front or back. I have a low profile jack, but the rear end of the jack may be too high to get in that far.

Just finished the back, what a nightmare. The hub bolt wouldnt come lose, so i took the back bolt off. Had to unbolt the exhaust. Driver side took me almost 2 hrs, passenger side took about 30 minutes lol. Gonna take a rest and tackle the front later. Took pics while at it to help others.

Nice job. Clem installed my springs but I don't recall it being too difficult with the right tools. He had it done in about 90 minutes.

Thanks. Yea i didnt have all the right tools and had to learn. The second time was much quicker. I think the most time consuming part is the front where you need to compress the springs and then compress the new springs. I placed the compressor on the wrong location and it was in the way of the perch plate.

Im ready to do an alignment but after my test drive, I notice when I hit a bump on the passenger side, the car pulls a hard left and then quickly corrects itself. This does not happen when I hit a bump on the driver side. On a straight road, it pulls very very slightly to the left, not even noticeable unless you drive a long time without touching the steering. Is this an alignment issue? (the hard left pull) I dont want to do the alignment if the springs are not seated right.

Getting an alignment at sears in bethesda. The rear was way off since I didnt care to mark it and and set it back. I hope they do a good job....
