Rental cars...
So while my Moupe is in the shop, I have a Dodge Ram 1500. They almost gave me a town and country but I was all "hell naw giirrrlll"
This is the best rental I've ever had (sadly). What's yours? |

I've rented about 10 times in the last year, and they have all generally sucked. The last one really took the cake...it was a Jetta with 39k miles on it, blown front suspension, misaligned windshield wipers, fender rub when I cranked the steering wheel, dings everyone, what a crappy car. I didn't realize a lot of these issues until I encountered them the next morning after I arrived. The airport was 30 miles from where I was, so I didn't take it back.
Thank you Hertz. Unfortunately, I have to stick with them because that is who has the contract with my company. |

Navigator years ago, 300c , Sierra 1500, S40. Nowadays if I rent I just go for something cheap like a Fusion or something similar, trying to save some money out there.

What the fuck?? We'd always get spartan as fuck 328's at best when taking the car in for service, be it the E90 or the M6. You mustn't had a great dealer because Reeves was pretty cheap (despite being named to some top dealer list BMW released).

Best rental I had recently was an Infiniti QX56 from Hertz. Rented it when I was moving in to my new place in LA. Was awesome for trips to and from IKEA and CB2. Never had to pay to have anything delivered. I've had good cars from Hertz: A C300, 2 G37's, the QX56, and a V8 Challenger When I was buying my 1er I saw that Beverly Hills has some pretty cool loaners. E93's, E90's loaded up with accessories [roof racks, accessory wheels, etc] and I saw a 335 loaner. Taking my car in next week to get Sirius installed and they are giving me a loaner... hoping for something cool.

Fuck that. They seriously gave us when we brought in the M6 for routine service and we were offered a 328... that didn't even have leather. We were there in the late morning so they couldn't have run out of rentals (like they said they did).

Fucking dealership here does the same thing. All of their loaners are stripped to shit 328i's and the occasional 528i. Still hoping to get stuck in a new 5er when I go in next.

We'll find out today if the rental place can top a VW Polo Estate I got last year, lol. My 135i was towed away last night after hitting a fox at 100mph. About to head up there now, as soon as I figure out how considering Im carless and its 30F outside.
The Polo was actually nice, unfortunately it was a diesel, but it had bitchin torque, 7 gears, sport mode, clutchless manual and tons of room. But I've had some baaaaaaaaad rentals before too. There is a place around here that offers cheap rentals for 300euro a month. Its great for when you ship your car to and from the States and need something in the mean time. But damn they are bad, so far from them I had an Audi 80 with a bad clutch and a Mitsubishi Colt that I didnt fit in. EDIT: And here it is. Not sure of the year, but its a Mercedes C220 Diesel. Its ok, it has a lot more features than the Polo, but the Polo had more torque I think. Im about to take it for a drive here in a few to see what she can do.

Never had a great rental in the US. Had a Mercedes A class in Italy that was interesting.

Usually I get great loaners from the dealer because we go way back. I've had 750, 730, X5 and last week I got the new 528! Last rental in Dubai was a Toyota Camry, boring but did the job but this past summer I scored an E-Class Coupe in France and had fun with that!
