damnit,

The tutorial states to add "+K302" to the VO at the very beginning which i did... You state it is "$302". What is the difference?

Dont quote me, but I believe +K302 is the proper way to code this as a retrofit. $302 works but isn't the "official" way to add to a VO.

yeah, i did the +k302 and i was able to manipulate the chirp only... everything else does not work.. did the blank MAN file and everything i had a vendor do on the car went back to US Spec and to add the icing it gave me an error when coding the car... im so fed up with this... seriously considering getting a a CIC retrofit and call it a day... i need ipod integration as well as A2DP streaming.... something i cant get natively with CCC...

i am willing to pay for it but for some reason here in germany the germans that i have been able to find that can code are reluctant to do such a swap...

This is all so confusing... i remember when i retrofitted a OEM Navi on a Lexus IS300... it was so easy.. no coding required just add the parts...!
adding the cables to car was the hardest...

It may be complicated if you didn't deal with coding.

Question

Okay, I installed and coded all pertinent modules according to this guide and all is almost well:

How can I enable beeps for UNLOCKING?

It beeps once when locking, plus flashes lights, but when unlocking, the lights flash however there are no beeps.

I don't have iDrive but can access various alarm settings via the BC, however, the owner's manual is absolutely worthless in deciphering what each graphic symbol on the BC means and controls.

I think I found it:

QUIT_AKUST_ENTSCH
nicht_aktiv

That's how it was set in my trace file that I used to update the DWAI module so apparently I missed changing this according to the guide. Will change it to aktiv tomorrow morning and see if that solves it.

But I'd still like to know what all the alarm symbols and settings are on the BC display.

I want to remove the cowl in my engine bay, and have my alarm. I retrofitted the OEM Alarm Kit, did the +K302, defaulted and it worked. I had to reinstall my cowl because the hood sensor would be mounted on the left. On the passenger side, there is a sensor in a similar place as to where the hood switch is located.

I believe this is the tilt sensor?

Does anyone know the variable to change to disable the tilt sensor? I already disabled the hood switch with MOTORHAUBENKONTAKT.

When I had everything installed and plugged in properly, the clown nose would blink slowly from the start. Now the clown nose blinks quickly for a short duration then slows down, I believe the alarm thinks there is a fault and thats why I'd like to disable the tilt sensor in NCSexpert.

No, that is the AUC sensor for your HVAC!

If I've read BMW's part description correctly via RealOEM, the tilt sensor is incorporated in the siren assembly, "Altern.power siren w inclination indicat"

Thus, you don't need to disable that sensor via coding with your cowl removal.

Is anyone remote coding for the alarm? I have a 08 e90 and just installed the alarm but need to have it coded. If anyone is capable of doing it shoot me a PM. Also, need the alpha tranny flash if you could do that as well.
