i bet they are just using different wiring and maybe a different brand of LED's, but most of the high output leds are very similar anyways. If anyone gets them in i would love to see a Macro shot of the actuall LED. i bet i can guess what it is.

You have way too much knowledge of LED's....

Do you know what they are doing to prevent it from throwing OBC codes?

probalby just using a led and resistors that draw enough power. You can get 2 leds, that combined draw about 12 watts of power, which is more then the original. You get into more heat problems then. OSRAM makes an LED that is absolutely insane. http://osram.com/cgi-bin/press/archiv.pl?id=423

No, they both replace the OEM BULB, not the rings. PIAA and Brex do the same thing.

The PIAA will replace the piece to the right and middle. Not 100% sure on the first black piece on the left. My Brex required me to keep that black piece.

I love the quality of every PIAA product I have ever owned. They are great while they last.

But that's the problem. every PIAA I've had stops working within 6 months.

I've had 4 sets of PIAA head light bulbs (at $80/pair!!), and a set of foglights, both on my previous Civic, and a set of offroad lamps on a 4x4.

They ALWAYS go bad quickly. But, they work GREAT while they last.

I have no experience with PIAA LEDs.

+1! I had a much better experience with Raybrig halogen bulbs than I ever did with PIAA.
