JB2H w/ DP 91 octane dynos

Hey Gang,

Met up with Driver72 today to do a few dyno runs.

My mods are JB2H, UR offroad downpipes, stock secondary cats, stock catback, drop in air filter. Runs done on 91 octane Shell gas.

My first couple of runs were ~332rwhp, but then the car adapted and HP shot up to ~345 for the last two runs. Boost was holding ~11.5psi with a spike of ~12.5psi.

I think this represents a pretty good street setup. Keep in mind 93 octane guys would get ~5-8rwhp more, and if you have a catback exhaust you might get ~8-12rwhp more. With the stock catback/secondary cats it's very quiet and stealthy, and its nice to have those secondary cats in there in case someone looks under the car.

Attached is a chart comparing my best run to Driver72's best run. I believe his mods are procede v1.47, drop in filter, and ~92 octane. Both cars are automatic.

What would you expect #s to be on an e92 with 93 octane, and the 2nd cat delete and drop in filter?

Stock downpipes + catback I imagine around 335 on the JB2H w/ 93.

Thanks Terry for doing the overlap.
Boy with those catless DP's on your car, you can see how much they help on the top end, where above 4300 rpms, they just produce quite a bit more power.

I think both our test here and Charle's (CEA3) on the Riss Racing DP's pretty much prove that the catless DP's do add a pretty good amount of power, again especially in the higher rpm range.

Yeah even with the stock exhaust they seem to help, I would say around 15rwhp. I really like the sound too with the stock catback.

Just raises the boost ~1/2psi and richens the AF ratio slightly.

What would you expect the ET down the 1/4 to be with this setup?

It's just a resistor with two connectors, it snaps in to the JB2 harness.

I tested ~12.4@113 on drag radials, at sea level, 50 degree temps.

Terry, what was your dyno with the old exhaust? Trying to figure out how much rwhp the cat/resonator delete was worth

Hard to say, but here are those dynos:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98706

Race gas and the exhaust was worth around 10rwhp on the best dyno of each, but on average perhaps 15rwhp.

Considering that you were on race gas before, it looks like you are making as much power now with the stock exhaust.. There's only a 9 hp difference and the 96 octane was probably responsible for that..

Very impressed Terry!
I haven't put on the JB2H yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'm surprised about the JB2H being leaner than the procede though.
With my previous tests with the JB2, it was richer than the procede.
Does the H make it more lean?
