I've told you, NO! I have some very close friends that are Mormon, and being the good LDS members they are, they are always trying to convert me. I guess I love my tea to much .... Also, I do live in AZ, which has one of the largest Mormon communities.

No, I call myself more spiritual then Religious. I don’t need to be lining the pockets of some denomination that wouldn’t know the truth if it bit them in the butt!

It's really quite a bit better to be in fellowship. When considering matters of faith, you benefit from the perspective of others. No one of us can discern truth from error 100% of the time. Together, at least we can develop some kind of concensus.

Oh really, then why is there a million different denominations? And who gives them the right to say who is Christian, and who is not? I find it laughable how one denomination can have such bigotry against another. I find more truth just by observing so called Christians’.

On a side note ... have you ever been to Star, ID? Grand Dad and Dad grew up there ..... I'm sure it has changed in 70 years.

Er... this response applies better to Eagle than Star. But parts of Star is just about as upscale. It is a few more miles away from Boise than is Eagle. You go through Eagle to get to Star. Star has a rather diverse population. |

My dad was born in Eagle .... I haven't been there in over 35 years, and when I was there, it was all farm land and a few houses .... great part of the country .... should have told my dad to buy some land there back then! Worth a fortune now ... |

Im Christian!
Was raised by two Catholic parents, that jumped around when I was a child looking at Lutheran and several other Christian variants. When my parents got divorced my mother went back to her Catholic faith and had my sister and I go through Caticism and my father found non-denominational Christianity to fit his needs. I have a good general base of a lot of different Christian religions and feel that it has only helped me with my faith. Today I attend a non-denominational Church here in Vegas and use to attend one in Mission Viejo, CA when I use to live there. ________ LovelyWendie99 ________ How to roll blunts ________ Unwetdream101 Last edited by Vegas_Sirk; 09-19-2011 at 11:13 AM. |

Upsss...this party died all of the sudden
![]() I am really not into religion, so I cannot discuss the details of any -- Christianity, Judism, Muslims and so on. I can only express my feelings about believeing... But I believe it is silly to start wars and fight each other because you're a Jew and I am a Muslim (Middle east), or I am a Christian and you're a Muslim (Bosnia) or because you're Catholic and I am Orthodox (Croatia)... Again, the politicians use the religious differences to make a mess... |

So, is Jesus God or is God Jesus? And who is the holy spirit then?
I'm ? Do Allah and JC share the sky or how does it work? What if God goes on vacation? (I know that he took Sunday off when he created the Universe) Does that mean that all the Christians will have to answer to Allah, during that time?

H2O is found in three forms: solid, liquid, and vapor. God is known in three forms. That's God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost. You could certainly find fuller explanations than this. Google "trinity" and you are bound to find a lot of information. There are many names for God that describe his character. ELOHIM [EL-O-’HEEM]: CREATOR EL ELYON [EL-’EL-YAWN] : GOD MOST HIGH, SOVEREIGN RULER EL SHADDAI [EL-SHA-’DIE]: OUR SUFFICIENCY ADONAI [ADD-EH-’NYE]: LORD AND MASTER JEHOVAH [YHWH, YA’-WAY]: THE SELF-EXISTENT ONE JEHOVAH-JIREH [JIE’-REH]: THE LORD WILL PROVIDE JEHOVAH-ROPHE [RAH’-FAH]: THE LORD WHO HEALS JEHOVAH-NISSI [NEH’-SEE]: THE LORD OUR BANNER JEHOVAH-SHALOM [SHA-’LOAM] : THE LORD IS PEACE JEHOVAH-ROHI [ROE’-HYE]: THE LORD MY SHEPHERD JEHOVAH-SABAOTH [SAH-BAH-’OATH]: THE LORD OF HOSTS JEHOVAH-SHAMMA [SHAH-’MAH]: THE LORD IS THERE JEHOVAH-TSIDKENU [SID-’KEN-YOU]: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS JEHOVAH-M’KADDESH [EM-KAH-’DESH]: THE LORD OUR SANCTIFIER I borrowed this listing from http://www.learntopray.org/articles/a43.htm. About God resting, I'll try an analogy: In music, there are many notes and there are rests. The rest is not that the music stops. The rest is part of the music and without rests, the music would not be complete. I don't know much about Allah. Don't Muslims say that Allah is the God of Abraham? |
