Hi again everyone!

Seems like these race springs are pretty popular with the E90 community; several of you have asked to see more detailed pictures. I'll shoot more pics after this weekend; I'll try to clean her up a bit after all the rain.

MORE DRIVING IMPRESSIONS:

Took her through the canyons, LA freeway (at speed and TRAFFIC), and around town. Here are additional general observations:

* YES you feel the road irregularities A LOT more. Areas like downtown LA where it seems each frwy section was laid over the other can get pretty rough when driving at rush hours speeds. Almost like you're "dropping and lifting" after each section. You feel it and it gets annoying after a while. Then again who doesnít get annoyed in traffic?

* The steering accuracy is NOTACIBLY MORE responsive. I flick the wheel and she tracks accordingly. Seems like there's less tolerance/play off "dead center." More like quicker reflexes. At speed you have to spend time correcting and adjusting your lines because of the smaller tolerance of "play" in the steering. I find this very fun and reminds me of my S2000! A more "involved" driving experience.

* Really rough roads are really rough! I appreciate the sport seats on the car. They are very, very supportive and SOFT and absorbs a significant amount of the harshness of the ride.

* It feels firmly planted on the road. NO squeaks, rattles, noises, nothing. Very very solid. I presume that once I complete my alignment after a couple weeks the road feel will be even better.

All in all I can't ask for a better setup. Now I don't ever expect this car to have go-kart handling characteristics but I feel that the race springs have added a newer, more sporty albeit unforgiving element to the whole driving experience. Would I do it again???!! HELL YEAH!!!

Oh and lastly I scraped today entering a restaurantís parking structure. A quick running the finger under the bumper test revealed no scratches under the bumper. I scraped the black lid about 6 inches or so behind the front bumper. My first side profile pic shows that black lip Iím referring to. IOW, be careful how you approach raised driveways!

SWEET!!!!. I wish I can do this to my car. I LOVE it.

My E90 is the only car that I didn't drop. Due to the wife factor (I got married).

Love the look. Good job mava. I so wouldn't mind dropping my car either but this time around, I'm planning to not sacrifice anything in the ride quality. I'm sure you're having a fun time though taking those curves and corners. Cheers!

Nice aggressive drop! Be ware of the front rubber flaps under the front bumper, the 4 jacking point (plastic) and the rear rubber flaps just in front of the rear wheels. These are the most likely places to scrape.

Enjoy!

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but just wanted to share pic of my former s2000 for nostalgia sake, what other mods have you done to your s2k?

Now you see, here are two real s2k drivers. compliments on the cars.
---Now let me tell you a story......
I have a friend who just turned 16 and is taking over his older brothers car (AP1 s2k). Basically this kid is a maniac, he really thinks he is some kind of prodigy driver, and i have seeen him drive. He habitually misjudges spaces and ends up having the other drivers weave out of the way for him. I really fear for him in that car because at the rate of speed he usually does there is no 2 seater out on the market that can withstand a crash at the speed, second, the car is a track car with NO traction control and in the rain he claims he drifts bur really oversteers for a second when making a turn and just barely recovers. And finally he braggs all around that his car is faster than anything on the road which made our highschool photoshop a GIANT banner across the campus which says "WHOAH DID YOU HEAR THE VTEC KICK IN?" everyone makes fun of the car and calls it a weedeater engine. I know honda's are sick, high revving engines but this kid brought it upon himself. You know what im making a separate thread so everyone can see this kid called DEEN. I ultimatly feel bad for his car which is a work of art. Edit: as i wrote this i forgot to say that only weeks after getting his license he ended up dragging a 2ft tall rack from the side of the road, all the way for half a black. Messing up his radiator and A/C. basically wrecking his front of the car. A thread to come of This kid. Sorry for the hijack thought you guyss should know.
