Has anyone actually lowered an XI?

I've tried searching and can't seem to find any relevant info, so I'm guessing the answer is no, but has anyone actually lowered an XI?

Is this even possible given XDrive?

re. 330xi lowering:

Per H&R in October 2005:

"We are going to have a sport spring and a coil over available for this vehicle. I expect to have more info on when, after the SEMA show in November." I have not contacted them since October.

Per K&W:

" sorry, not yet, maybe in march 2006."

Dinan said ECU was their first priority; suspension options would follow in ~ a year (Nov-Dec 2006).

Lowering the xi would defeat in part the purpose of buying it; it is designed for higher clearance.

Having a lowered car in the snow (which is why I bought the car) makes it difficult to drive...

That being said I'm sure someone will come out with a kit to drop the car. Sounds like the market is there.

Even if lowered to the height of an I, I assume the snow performance of an XI is still better than an I because of the XDrive. Am I wrong?

I know lowering the XI slightly minimizes its snow performance, but I can't see how it could possibly defeat the purpose of going with an XI over an I.

Even if the two are the same ride height, the XI still has XDrive.

Many A4's, after all, are driven in the snow with the sport suspension option from Audi which, unlike BMW, does lower the car.

I do have to agree with you. Audi, Subaru, and Porsche can put sedans/sports cars with four wheels drives combo'd with 4wd then why not bmw?
