15mm spacers and 275 rears on 189's?

Im looking at getting summer tires here soon, and was thinking of 275 or 265's in the rear.

I have the H & R 15mm spacers in the rear on stock 18" 189's and they look good on the stock 255's.

Will 275's fit with the 15mm spacers? Anyone have this set up?

Thanks in advance!

Tires Im looking at are the summer tires from Hankook, or Avon. The cheaper tires that perform very well.

i have 18mm spacers on the stock 189 wheels with the stock 255 rear tires. No rubbing at all. 275's are to wide for a 8.5" rim. It wont look good

yeah 275 is too big for 8.5 rims. 255 would look good.

I have the stock 255's on now, and yes it has a very nice stance

How about going with 265's? using the 15mm spacers.

Anyone?

Hey guys, I'm somewhat new to this forum. I was just wondering what spacers were and what purpose they served? I would appreciate the info. thanks.

The spacers just push the wheels further away from the car. Thus lining the wheel/tire combo up with the body of the vehicle better.

for the OP, I wouldnt run 275 on the 8.5 wheel. I know WalkedU was running that combo for awhile, but I didnt really like the way it looked. I think there have been a few here that run 15mm spacer and the stock tires and werent rubbing, but very close to the fender. Go for 255 or 265 and hope that they dont rub. If you wanna go on the cautious side, shoot for 12mm.

Well I have the 15mm H & R spacers now, and dont want to change.

So should I order 265's or keep the stock 255's width.

Thanks for all your advice.

Another my opinion, but I would go for 265s. I think thats about as far as you would wanna go on a 8.5 inch rim.
