Foam gun soap

I just recently got my Gilmour Foam Gun and have used up the soap sample that came with the unit. Do you have a favorite soap and/or special mixing formula? Thanks

I've used Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds with a Gilmour unit with great results. This is the only shampoo I have experience with though in the foam gun.

i know FMINUS uses Chemical Guy's Cirtus Wash n Gloss, and i have heard good things about it. i have a gallon of it coming in today, so im going to try it out soon...not sure about if it will strip wax or not, but i wouldnt use it on a car that has recently been detailed. after i detail my car i use either Meguiar's Gold Class or P21s (not total auto wash), but then again i dont have a foam gun...

You can use w/e soap you want.

Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss is a bit too harsh to be using every wash, and since I assume you want something for your own car that will sud up like mad and clean well without being too harsh, go with Meguiars NXT wash, Meguiars Gold Class, or if you want to order it online, Adams Car wash.

All of them smell great, sud up real good, and clean fairly well.

Foam gun source

Got mine from www.autodetailingsolutions.com but you can do a google for Gilmour Foam Gun. There are others also who sell them. With mine I received a free nice mitt and a sample bottle of mystery soap. After a few washes you will need additional soap.

Looks something like this...... Amazon has the cheapest deals around... I think 39$

So far I got poorboys suds, havent used my foam gun at all since of NY weather...... but I will once it turns to be nice.......

I hear great things from Chemical Guys, and I'mma place a nice decent order over there.

These will not soap well with the Foam GUN:
NXT, Gold Class, PB SSS

These will be OK: Adams, CG Maxi Suds

These are the best so far: CG WG, DG 901, DP Extreme Foam.
CG is strong if used too concentrated, there is no problem if you dilute it correctly

Also if you use hot water in your reservoir in the foam gun, that will help.

And of course it will foam better with deionized water.

Phil, I have a Gilmour foam gun and the CG Citrus wash. Assuming I use hot water in the reservoir, what do you recommend as a mix ratio?

I wonder if BMW soap will foam well...hmmm I wish we'd kick this drought so I could start washing my car again.

I just ordered my foam lance (I have a Karcher) and a bottle of PB SSS, how much should I dilute it to get a nice thick foam? Detailed Image or FIMNUS you guys seem to have experience with this stuff, suggestions?

My bad FIMNUS, i didn't really read your prior post too well haha. I think i am going to go with DP Extreme foam, since it seems like it was made for a foam cannon.
Is there any place we can purchase autobrite's snow foam here in the states?

No need! CWG/901 should be sufficient
