Harmful to reset ECU every so often?

Any benefit to unhooking battery for an hour or so, resetting the ECU, reloading the map and starting back at 90% torque settings....I am running Shell 93 (I always run the highest octane but never made a point to get Shell 93 until now - I can see an immediate increase in 2-2.5mpg).

A quick trick after you unplug the battery, is to just tap the brakes a few time.. it kills most of the energy left in the car that keeps the ecu on afterwards..

should make for a quick 10min ecu reset.. at least thats what i was told and have always done
