To each his own

I'm about performance and looks, I guess you have to wait if you want the best of both worlds

To me thats not a product, just a bunch of plastic ran to the wheel wheel with no design, the engine is starting to look like a 'sup'd' civic.

But whatever makes you happy, is key, enjoy.

Exactly!

The true test will be what it puts down on the dyno. Does it look simply amazing and great? Not really. Could it be more appealing? yes. But if it puts down good numbers then i will be more than happy

Oh it will show gains on the dyno for sure, no doubt about it being less restrictive. It's just un-evenly less restrictive. And it could possibly be worse on the one turbo while the other makes up for it.

I agree with you on the design issue. I dont think its as big an issue, but still an issue non the less. I just wanted to test it out not only for myself but for all you guys that were also interested in the VIP intake. Havent seen anyone else post dynos or pics or anything about the intake install except for the guys at VIP.

Yea dude, it's pure sex, I had it in my old e46 too, so I had to get.. kinda added it into my car when I was putting numbers together with BMW, so got a great price for it. All concealed.

If I knew I could of added the whole MTEC package to it, I would of........ I wasn't thinking then, just wanted to see my AW.......

O-cha, does the MSDS stage two intake bring balanced airflow? I'm looking at my options for a CAI, just wanting an effective and safe piece.

Best,
YB

Yea theres looks better as it splits early, still think something more like it comes up, makes a 90 degree, splits, and turns into the two would be better. I like symmetrical things like that though.

Hey, you think you can get some test results of how much air the intake is sucking in and at what temperature? I remember when I had an intake in my B6 S4, and the manufacturer claimed an increase in HP, but one member on another board did a test to see how much air was flowing and at what temperature, and they were both significantly worse than the stock airbox.

Dont worry, its just a matter of time. I will dyno very soon and post my results and see if this intake is worth it

$450 + shipping for this is highway robbery. It is kind of funny watching these tuners take advantage of the larger wallets of Bimmer owners. This same piece would be about $125 bucks on a Supra, Eclipse or STi.

and MSDS's system will cost you $600 plus shipping, yet I'm still considering it knowing that I need an intake of some kind. I dont want an open cone intake sucking in hot air from the engine bay, so the cold air kits are my only choice.........

You can probably get a welding shop to custom make one for you for around 250 bucks. Just my two cents... (similar to VIP, not MSDS)
