Mod Diary Update
So, in my never-ending quest to improve the look of my E90, I have the following planned for the remaining of January and February:
1. 3D Design replica lip installation The M-Tech front end looks naked without the lip. ![]() ![]() 2. M-Tech kit rear bumper replacement (w/ PDC) Some moron at Super 88 on Brighton Ave creased my bumper when he/she was backing out of the parking stall...... Thank god I won the Tischer giveaway! Thanks Evan and Jason. 3. Rear PDC retrofit Will be done at Bavarian Performance Group in Winchester by BMW Master Tech Andy. Need to update to the newest progman first though. 4. Black Carbon Fiber M5 SMG knob Will be done by BPG as well coz need a custom harness to light up the shift pattern on the knob. 5. M-Tech steering wheel w/ paddles Installation will be done at BPG, parts supplied by Tischer BMW (thanks again Evan), still waiting for the black Dakota leather steering wheel cover to complete the order. Airbag supplied by our ebay friend, qabeli 6. new rear LED turn signals Brighter than the current JLeviSW kit, will match the front and side LED turn signals 7. foglight HID kit I've this kit from UED for a long time but haven't had time to come up with a plan to mount the ballast. BPG will take care of that for me instead. Having tested the kit 2X, I'm pretty sure that it's error free. 8. Black Alcantara headliner The pieces were done for a while (thanks to Evan@Tischer again for supplying the parts, and Matt of Luxury Details, Framingham, MA for the upholstery work). Will be installed on 2/2/08, pics to follow So much for now, next up will be Alcon / Brembo BBK, KW V3, custom leather / Alcantara interior, and split armrest.

Sounds like you have a lot of nice mods planned for your car. The front lip will make your Mtech front look so good.

Can't wait till tomorrow to do the headliner. It's the original M-Tech headliner wrapped in Alcantara.
Also, a pic of the airbag with M-Tech steering wheel and paddles. Notice that the steering wheel cover is actually in Black Dakota Leather to match the interior and the airbag

Update:
Promised pics of the M5 SMG Shift Knob in Black Carbon Fiber. The wiring on the knob is not done yet so it would light up like it is supposed to. Hmm... maybe it's time to get the CF e-brake as well. That should go well with the knob.

only contradiction is the direction of the arrow for D/S mode, which I can't do anything about
Otherwise, the knob should light up / line up (P->R->N->D->D/S) like the indicators on the leftAlso, I'm not exactly a revolutionary: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=56

Nope, I won't. I'm just saying that I'm not a revolutionary trying to reinvent the wheel
![]() I only mod my car to please myself. Just like I'm not a fan of those "forged" 3-piece wheels, but to each his own.

Mini Update
Did the headliner install yesterday and it took about 5-6 hours to get everything done. The hardest part is to remove the sunroof cover and to make sure everything fits snugly together and no rattles. I'm very pleased with the results. Matt @ Luxury Details went great lengths to make sure that the headliner is done correctly. Right now it's missing one grab handle and two airbag badges in the front so I'm in the process of getting those from Evan @ Tischer.
Here's a sneak peek of the headliner: Still waiting for the full pics from my friend wrt the headliner install. The other thing that we got done is the replica 3D Design lip from Swoop: Here's a pic of the car without the lip for comparsion purpose: ![]() Here's a pic of the car with the lip installed, but at a slightly different angle: Lip installed with Lux 4.0 and LED side markers turned on: After looking at the fitment of the lip, we decided that it would be best if we just mold it to the bumper, so when I do the PDC upgrade / Vorsteiner CSL trunk, the car will go into the shop for have the M-Tech kit refinished. All comments welcome~
