Smile Have the limp modes been fixed with the 6AT V2.0.2 yet?

I was just wondering as I was seeing people having a huge issue when WOT, switching to 2nd to 3rd, or was it 3rd to 4th? Nevertheless, I have a person here locally that is selling his with a V2 upgrade and I do want to buy it but I am just worried about this problem.. I dont want limp modes. I am thinking about JuiceBox or Helix Attache and at this time they really look like better choices.. What do you guys think, honest opinions here please.

Thanks.

Not sure if all the kinks have been worked out. Shiv has said that V2.1 will be rock solid.

You sound like me, and would rather have a more "refined tune" thats rock solid. Talk to the many people here that went with ECU reflash by DINAN. It's not a piggyback, can be installed by your dealer, has it's own warranty and so far, many of those user have said their car it's much smoother now.

There are also a few more products comming out in the summer that provide ECU reprogramming instead of installing a piggyback(PROcede, Juicebox, Attache, etc). Just something to consider!

The limp mode issues were with SOME v2.01 and early versions of v2.0.2
I have been running both v2.0.1 and the 12-29-07 version of v2.0.2 and never a limp mode.

If you have the opportunity to get a v2 used, get it.

The others are good alternatives, but you won't get the power of v2 with the JuiceBox unless you are willing to run a race gas mix full time, and the Helix isn't out yet and not sure the power they are tuned for, but chances are its not more than the v2 on pump gas anyway.

So get the v2 now if you have the chance.

No issue here either. Am running an auto with V2. Tried the 12-29 and the 1-10 maps and no issues at all. Tried them with 94 oct running 94% and 96% at full throttle from start to top of 4th and no limps but the roads ends REAL QUICK!

Stock to attaché on 93 octane tune produced +73hp +95tq.

I don't know what the V2 produces but myself along with the other beta testers for the Attache' have nothing but great things to say about helix and this tune. I'm running the 14psi tune with my 08 AT. Runs great. I'm sure the op will be happy with either piggyback. Local release for the Attache' is estimated for early Feb.

Wish I could report the same thing.

I am having the limp issue on 3rd at redline using v2.0.2 12-29 at the baseline settings...... except...
I just noticed the new map (1-10) which I am now downloading and loading up. I hope it takes care of the limp issue...

Have you datalogged a run.
You (like me) are on the crappy California 91 Octane.
But even on the base settings you may be boosting close to 15 psi.
On our gas and at close to sea level, you'll likely get the limp.

You need to do a datalog. If you see PSI peaks of close to or over 15 psi (when accelerating) or lift throttle spikes of over 16 psi, you need to lower the settings to like 88-89% and it should take care of that for you.

% settings mean nothing. Each car reacts to the PROcede boost increase differently. It's the AMOUNT of boost your particular car is putting out on the PROcede that matters, NOT the % on the user torque settings.

You can also try just lowering the % at the point where the limp occurs.
Meaning since you are getting the limp at redline, drop the user torque settings from the default 90.1xx% at redline to 88-89% at redline.

That alone might take care of it for you.

Most of the limp issues are installation or user error.
People need to datalog and see if they can see what the issue is causing the limp and make the needed adjustments (which takes only minutes to do) to solve the issue if the installation or settings are correct.

Yes, well I don't have the patience for the Helix because the seller is local here, but do you guys think $1250 is a good price for a 1.47 and V2? I don't think so because it should be lower now..

The price of a new PROcede v2 is $1295

Used I'd think a deal would be $900-1000

I don't mean to hijack this thread but to answer your question...
Yea, I have done a few data logs and hit 14.7 on boost on 1 run and 13.5 on another and then limp... Completely dies. Not like when I had 1.47 though. Now, when the limp mode is induced, its like the motor almost shakes off balance when you press the gas pedal. It's crazy. Of course when it resets, everything is fine, except the check engine light which now remains on.

Strange thing is that it seems strong in the lower rpm’s and even getting into the higher rpm's. The last 1000 or so rpm's before redline don't seem very strong and then the limp mode. Doesn't seem to induce limp mode until 3rd gear, although most of my runs are on the freeway and I start around 40+ mph.

I have sent the data logs to Shiv but I know those guys are busy. I hope he gets a chance to look at them and see if there is anything goofy going on. He had me record the data logs with the Debug 3 module in place.

We'll see...

That is a good question. Shiv instructed me how to setup and record a data log with the debug 3 module over PM. I didn't ask any further questions so he would be the one to ask.

hmmm,...I have a similar issue. Mine did not induce limp but i felt like it was shaking the engine/tranny and also on WOT (felt like knocking/rattling in engine but doubt it was true "knock"). I felt it and the power changed and the I let off it IMMEDIATELY. No limp for me though. Don't know if I was lucky...as I could not reproduce it (don't think I want to).

I was datalogging at the time and you can see where it ocurred below.

As you can see I also have a boost of 15.2-15.4 max on DEFAULT settings, 93 octane and NO other mods and 59 degrees out and yes ECU has had 75+ miles to adapt prior to this. I seem to be getting this high boost only between 4500-5300 rpm.

I too want to send this to Shiv/Dustin but have yet to get response (I know they are busy).

Any ideas?...Just turn down settings between 4500-5500?

ALL HELP IS APPRECIATED!!

Limp mode solved a long time ago, the only glitch is for about 5 members including myself with galluping issues with the idle during cold startups...I have been driving around in a horse for around 3 weeks now with no solution so far!!! I am getting ready to change my horse shoes soon!!!
