Anthracite Headliner

Is anthracite headliner a Priority 1 option for the E92 in the US yet?

Is it a no-cost option? If not, how much is it?

Do I simply inform my dealer in my order that I want the anthracite headliner and that it is a Priority 1 option?

And the noobest question of all, what exactly is a "Priority 1" option???

Thank you...

I believe it is not availbale in the US. In the rest of the world it is an extra cost option (and also comes standard with the M-Package).

Looking at other posts, I guess its not available in US. Why they deprive us of such a nice option?

It is 2008, but I wonder if there is a more recent version since Jade Grey is now a Priority 1 option.

So...what's a "Priority 1" option?

I ordered the black headliner (in Poland), but cancelled it. It wasn't a matter of cost, it's only about euro 200. I may be alone, but I found it too dark inside. My friend has an all black 5 series with normal headliner and just bought a black M5 which comes standard with the black headliner. He says he doesn't like the black headliner, it's just too dark.

Having said that, I could see if I was 10 years younger maybe the excessive black would still appeal to me. Any 'older to old' members wishing for the black headliner?

I'm just 34 years old, and I love the black headliner in my car.

In my opinion, this black headliner only looks NICE with Saddle brown (my color combo), Coral Red and Lemon Yellow leather, thanks to the resulting color contrast.

I agree that black leather with black headliner may be a bit too much black...

Priority 1 option means it can only be ordered by a customer, and a dealer cannot stock it on his lot.

I had a black headliner (ordered it) on my Mini Cooper S and also in my E39 M5 (standard) and liked it in both cars. The M also had black interior, so it was a bit dark, but very "elegant" (I thought).

If it were available on the 3 series, I would have ordered it.

Now... on the Mini it was $200 extra, and I often wondered if it was worth it. Probably not. But I'm cheap...

I paid almost U$S 700.00 (in Argentina) to have the anthracite headliner in my 335i

But I like it a lot, and would do it again!
