Center display on the steering wheel has lap timer, stop watch, reaction time, 1/4 mile timer, and will store your "top scores".

Also has a shift indicator (the LED's on the sides).

The steering wheel is the same one I saw at the Detroit Auto Show. It has a built in race clock.

Here is a picture. Tough to get a good picture with the reflective glass.

Wow that steering wheel is CRAZY!

Hope those brakes are for the 335 too (and not $$$$). Also hope the intake actually has decent gains that make it worth the $$$$ (unlike the stupid 3-5 hp gains I think I saw published for the E46 intake).

I doubt we'll see the M1 name. But there will be a model (or package) above the standard 135i.

BMW is using a very similar approach with the 1 Series as they did with MINI. Think of a future "JCW" equivalent.

That's the performance parts catalog for both 1 and 3 series.

For example, there is 335i and xi exhaust, CF strut tower brace for 3-series and air intake for N54 engine.

Does anyone know if the lap timer requires you to hit a lap button or if it uses a track beacon or GPS?
