Hey everyone!! My name’s Mac and I became an E90 owner on December 30th… I’ve noticed a bunch of threads with other folks across the country getting together for various meets, etc. and I’d like to gauge everyone’s interest in kicking off ’06 with a special Socal meet. I’ve spoken with a couple of you via PM and I know there’s interest in a meet. So let me throw out this idea and we can take it from there:




DINNER, MEET AND GREET

Where: Hurry Curry of Tokyo / 37 S Fair Oaks Avenue Pasadena, CA
Location: Old Town Pasadena
Why: Why not … meet some new people … check out our rides … share our ultimate driving stories

Date/Time: WEDNESDAY, FEB 1st @ 7:30pm (hanging out at the parking lot cars... 8:00pm Dinner/Drinks :rocks:


A little about Hurry Curry:

They specialize in Japanese curry using a blend of 21 spices. For those of you that favor a milder palette they can accommodate you with 3 levels of flavor: mild, medium or hot, and alternatively have other sauces to select from as well (although this is a curry joint). Meat (chicken, beef, seafood) and/or vegetables are served over rice or pasta with their signature curry. They also have salads… and one can’t forget the beer or sake.

The best part is that there’s a public parking facility across the street with plenty of parking. Generally my experience has been best with everyone parking on the roof level… all together… so that we can introduce ourselves, check out each others cars and then walk down to the restaurant for refreshments and dinner. NO WORRIES FELLAS!! Let's make this as accommodating as possible for the Socal contingent. 7:30 (start rolling out there) we’ll hang at the parking lot till 8:00 or so and grab grub.

Jason (admin) will be moving this to the General Thread forum to get more visibility for us. Let’s do our part and keep bumping this thread till the big dinner!

HEY!!! I LIVE 5 MINS AWAY FROM OLDTOWN!!! I MIGHT GO... DON'T COUNT ME IN YET... NOT SURE YET... IMMA ASK MY GF IF SHE WANTS TO TAG ALONG... IF SHE DOES THEN IM IN.. IF SHE DOESNT... dood, thats why you eat the chicken cutlet. Soooo good. Btw, Jap curry doesn't make u smell at all. I think thats indian curry.

I live near Hermosa (Manhattan Beach), so it's about a 40 minute drive to Pasadena.

Hurry Curry has this great pasta dish (no curry). I always get it there, never the curry. I go to Curry House for my curry.

Now now.... to the Curry connoisseurs out there, there is a difference in flavor between Hurry Curry and Curry House. I personally prefer Hurry Curry myself for the simple fact that their "hot" offers more of a kick out of the box... and I like kicks! Hopefully you’ll be able to come out!

Come on out! Hopefully you'll be in town. Plus I'll do a reciprocal benefit here.... ANY BAY AREA person that comes out to LA for this meet, I will personally promise that I'll make a Bay Area meet as well!! Your driving down the 5 freeway won’t be in vain! :rocks:

I MIGHT go... She went to one VW meet down in Argentina with her brother and I think she liked it alot... So we'll see she might want to see what a car meet might be in the states =D BTW shes from S.America Argentina =D
