Cool. Thanks Tom.

It does look and sound like double clicking in the video where you are opening and closing the windows, but if double clicking is not required for that, I'm all good.

Thanks again for your prompt responses.

Mine has been working perfectly since I got it a couple of months ago. I have it set to the autofold option. I love being able to park the car with the windows down, press the button for 2 seconds and have the mirrors fold, the doors lock, and the windows roll up all in one shot.

Anyone else having this issue with mirror autofold?

Here is my issue. If I simply click on the lock and unlock, mirrors won't fold. I thought it was connected to the locking/unlocking of the car, but it appears to be connected to the buttons. I find that I have to hold for about 1.5 seconds for the mirrors to work.

Problem is, it's awfully close to the roll/unroll windows function. Often, I want to unlock and unfold mirrors. I hold down for about 1.5 seconds, but then the windows also roll down. If it's raining it sucks.

Just wanted to know if other people's units (mirror on auto) work by clicking lock/unlock quickly, or if they have to hold down.

You may be pressing the buttons too quickly - space the clicks a tiny bit.

Actually, I have the mirrors on auto and am only pressing lock once. If I click twice the clown nose lights solid for a second, indicating that the motion sensor is deactivated.

With mirrors on auto I find that I have to hold for about 1 - 1.5 seconds in order for them to fold / unfold. Sometimes this is too close to the window function (which I find is 1.5 - 2 seconds). This isn't a concern when locking because I want the windows closed, but it is for unlocking, as I don't want the windows to roll down, just the mirrors to unfold.

ie. Doors are locked and mirrors are folded. I want to unlock and unfold mirrors, but want the windows kept shut.

We have the module on out 0MY08 M3, this is a simple 2x button press. Press and hold the unlock button to have the windows roll down.

Hi Tom,

I appreciate the responses. However, my specific question/issue has not really been answered/addressed.

I do not want to set the mirrors to manual mode as double clicking lock leads to deactivating the motion sensor. The only way manual would work for me is if I locked, then waited about 30 seconds and then double click lock to fold up mirrors.

I had the mirrors set to auto. I found that in order for the mirrors to function on auto, I had to hold the buttons down, rather than a quick click. When unlocking, this sometimes led to the windows also rolling down, as the time for the auto mirrors to work and windows to roll down is quite close. This is not good when it's raining.

For now I've just turned off the mirror function altogether.

You shouldn't have to, I'm using the manual fold option - this keeps the wear down to a minimum and no issues to report to this day.

So when you do fold on manual option, do you wait 30 seconds until after you've locked? If you have the OEM alarm system, and you lock, and double click to fold the mirrors (when you want to), you'll deactivate the motion sensor. I confirmed this by trying it (the red clown nose will light up, and then continue flashing).

It's the timing of the clicks, if you perform the clicking too fast - it will disable the alarm. There needs to be ample time between button presses.

Absolutely, you just won't have folding mirrors of course.

CA will work independent of the remoteKEY.

remoteKEY does not interfere with CA, folding mirrors are not a feature of Comfort Access.

You can still manually press the button to fold mirrors if desired.

So if you lock the doors by touching the door handle, will the mirrors fold in?
