No, you must press the lock button on your key to activate folding is set to "manual".

Does anybody have one installed and working on a sedan? I installed and it will roll all the windows down as it is supposed to however it only rolls the front windows up when I lock. The coupe/sedan setting doesn't make a difference.

The remoteKEY was developed in our own facility, we're performed a number of Sedan installations. Were you able to perform the battery reset we spoke about over the phone?

Out of all the modules we're shipped - I've never seen one fail.

Can you email me a quick snapshot of your connections so I can verify it is wired up correctly? Otherwise, we'll need the module returned for testing/exchange.

If it's something we can spot right away - we can wrap this up right away.

I just received my remoteKEY, and it isn't working quite right. The auto-folding mirror feature works fine, and the open/close windows/sunroof feature works fine, but the unlocking of the doors when the ignition is turned off doesn't work at all. I still have to double pull the door handle. And that of course is the feature I actually want the most!

I have tried Function 1 in all three settings without success (I know, setting 2 is the correct one, but it didn't work, so I tried the others too). I am able to go through all the other Functions/Settings combinations and enable and disable them with no problems.

I have a 2009 335ix sedan. Is there something I could be doing wrong or something particular about my car that means the auto door-unlock won't work?

I sent an email to EAS through their support page on the web, but I haven't received a response yet. I thought I'd try here and see if any users had any ideas.

Thanks,
Frank

Just replied to your email - I'll need the serial number from your module.

Just to close the loop - my problem is fixed. EAS sent me an updated user's manual, and after applying the new settings, the door unlock and all other features of remoteKEY work great in my 2009 335. I am so happy not to have to pull that door handle twice to get out! I love this mod.

Thanks,
Frank

Hi, I saw your answers about CA, is it possible to programme the unit to have the windows go up and/or the mirrors fold in when locking by touching the handle and have the mirrors fold out when unlocking the car by opening using the handle?
My key/fob stays in my jeans and I never have need to use it with CA

While the module is compatible in the same environment - remoteKEY does not interact with CA-specific features. The key will be needed for the remoteKEY options.

Do you ever plan to make it work with CA so that the mirrors will fold when locking from the door handle?

That's already a feature.

Current RemoteKey users are valid for the software update, we will need your module to perform the flash. If you are in the area, it only takes a few minutes to update.
