I've had mine for about a year now and it's been flawless. Really a great mod for the $$. I love being able to open & close everything from the remote - especially the mirrors - less of a chance of them getting damaged in a parking lot. It's also great to be able to open the windows and roof before getting in the car when it's really hot out. I always disable it before taking the car to the dealer (takes literally 20 seconds) and they haven't said a word about it yet. GREAT product!

Since I didn't go through the past 13 pages, I'll ask this now as it was probably already talked about.

Is this completely programable, as in you can select what feature you do and do not want to have working? Specifically, I would only want the remote windows up & down (no sunroof open/close), and I don't want the mirrors to fold & unfold by remote. Can this be done with the remoteKEY?

You can turn on/off specific options within the module.

Pressing the lock/unlock button for 3 seconds will activate auto windows up/down independent of the sunroof.

When was the programming updated? I have a remoteKey that I bought in May -- will it have the ability to fold/unfold the mirrors from the doorhandles on my CA-equipped vehicle, or does it need to be reprogrammed?

Thanks.

Approximately 45 days ago, this does have the additional CA folding options (from the door handle) as well.

If you bought it this May it should have that feature. I've had mine for more than a year and it includes the mirrors.

I'm not sure what you mean by "...from the doorhandles..." - you can fold/unfold the mirrors with the remote with this...

Hey - BTW Tom - I was thinking the other day, it would really be cool if this unit could also operate the rear power shade. Any chance that could be added?

This unit has worked flawless for me and I use it every single day - one of my favorite and most useful mods for sure...

Can the install/instruction manuals be made available for download? I'd like to know how it works, especially the 'all windows' feature.

There is no chirping ability with SmartTop at this time.

Vehicle must be equipped with Premium Package (ie: folding mirrors) in order for the autofold option to be available.

No plans to emulate the alarm functions, as the remoteKEY is simply a deterrent to keep thieves from seeing your BMW as a potential target.
