Any update on the folding mirrors?

No offense, but, i guess it would be an 'issue' if you're utterly careless and oblivious to how you take care of your car... it's like saying, the window-down command is an issue b/c you forget to roll up your windows...

As for the folding mirrors, wouldn't that be a big project? I.e., you would have to install [and fit] motors internally (within the mirror assembly)... then program and figure out a way to communicate that response w/ the computer. I'd be [super] interested to see how this works out.

Am I just totally missing something? My 08' e90 can already do all of this from the remote. What doea this do that I cant already do? Roll up all of the windows at the same time from the inside of the car?

i can only roll down my windows by holding 'unlock' on my remote. i have none of the other features. i guess this is for all of us w/ pre-08 models.

I don't think that you can roll up your windows with the remote. And when you turn off the car, the doors will not unlock on the 08. That is what this module does.

I have CA, so I think this module is really no use to me. If I wanted to close the windows, I can just touch the door handle to close the windows and moonroof. I don't mind pulling the door handle twice to get out of the car. It's better than spending $200 on this module. I'm not that lazy. And if I want my mirrors to fold, I'll just press the button before I exit the car.

If this were cheaper, I might go for it. But as of right now, I think it cost too much. Especially for the people who have CA and ZPP. It's great for the people who don't have those options, though.

i believe the main reason is to roll up the windows say, if it were to start raining and you had left a crack open on a hot day from inside the office..good for those that dont have comfort access when comparing the price difference.

i wasnt aware that 08's have the ability to fold mirrors and put up the windows from outside the car via the fob..i know this can be done from the handle through CA, but again, pre-08's and without CA.

1 - check weather channel for forecasts
2 - 08's have the folding mirror option? i.e., just like the 7-series?

From what I know, the 08's can't fold the mirrors or roll up the windows from outside the car with just the keyfob. The only way to roll up the windows from the outside is, if you have CA and you put your finger on the ridges of the handle, it will roll up all windows including moonroof.

Now, I know that the PRE-07's with CA and ZPP has the option to fold the mirrors with locking the doors. The 07's and 08's don't have this feature.

If you don't have CA you can rool up all windows and close sunroof from the outside by inserting key and turning it to the right.

This will not void any warranties - we are using BMW code.

dont we already have this? you should look into angel eyes turning on and off when you unlock and loc your car for the 06 prodcution people!

Not sure if the rings are controlled via canbus but we can look into this as well.
