Colors that are easy to clean and keep clean?
I just wanted some feedback on cleaning your car, dependent on color
This is what I was thinking from easiest to hardest... 1. Titanium Silver Metallic 2. Artic Metallic 3. Sonora Metallic 4. Alpine White 3. Sparkling Graphite Metallic 4. Barrique Red Metallic 5. Electric Red 6. Deep Green Metallic 7. Mystic Blue Metallic 8. Monaco Blue Metallic 9. Black Sapphire Metallic 10. Jet Black What does your list look like? I have a black sapphire for the record and its a bitch to keep clean, I have to live with it dirty sometimes cuz I can't keep up with cleaning it ![]() |

Yup. Black would be at the bottom of my list as well. While I really love the look, I don't think I will getting another black car.

My Suburban is black and keeping it clean is a total biotch! Plus waxing it takes about a day
![]() I will never own another black car.

yeah my next car will definitely be either white, silver, or possibly gray/graphite color cuz i live in the real world where my car serves me and not the other way around (in other words, i don't have the time to keep it clean

I find my sparkling graphite pretty difficult as it is. Quite susceptible to swirls and caked on dirt.
Silver is the way to go. I like the shape of the car to do the talking. The color doesn't have to be too bling. |

Hey, bob, my SG in contrast, when dirty, doesn't really look dirty to me.

I disagree, living in Florida where we don't have snow slush, but we do have rain, my jet black 325i is very easy to clean and does not get any dirtier than my other car, a red acura.

If you had a list of "Which cars look best when clean", then I'm sure it would be the exact list above in reverse order... which is exactly why I chose Sapphire Black for my car.
Besides, spending a 1/2 day on the weekend detailing the car is a big stress buster for me. That is, until the wife starts giving me "the look".

I have Mystic Blue and it's definitely the hardest car that I've ever had to keep clean. I've had white, silver and a rust/orange before.
I've washed it every week; so far, and it shows the dust in 2-days. I've resigned myself to alternating between washing it myself 1-week and taking it to the car wash the next.

Easy Colors
I have a Titanium silver and it is very easy to clean and keep neat.
Dirt marks are not shown easily. With the silver mag wheels the same color as the rest of the car, it seems to compliment each other well. |
