Road Atlanta Race - Petit Le Mans Oct 1-3

So its time for my annual thread for the Petit Le Mans 10 Hour | 1,000 mile race at Road Atlanta October 1-3.

Who is going?

As always I will be parked in the BMW car corral through the Peachtree Chapter of the BMW CCA and camping all weekend on the entrance to the "esses" just below turn 4. I will have a BMW flag flying so come on by and have a beer while cars scream by 40' away at 100 mph through the ess turns!

If you've never been you owe it to yourself to check this out. The Team RLL Z4 GTE cars will be running hard for the main race on Saturday since they are in a close points battle with the Factory Porsches and Vettes. Being a ten hour race a lot can happen!

On Friday the Continental Tires race will have the E92 M3 running in grandsport and 128 & 328 running in the street tuner class.

Other supporting races include the Porsche GT3 Cup, Lambo Blancpain Super Trofeo, Prototype Lites powered by mazda, and the MX-5 cup. Aside form the races just walking the car corrals is insane with all the cars that people bring out and display.

Two weeks out!

Also for those who do not follow the Petit Le Mans is the final round of the 2015 season. The second to last round is this weekend at the new formula 1 complex in Austin Texas "Circuit of the Americas."

The race can be viewed live on Fox Sports2 tomorrow or streamed lived http://www.imsa.com/.

There will also be a rebroadcast Sunday on Fox Sports1

Hope to see some of you in 2 weeks for the ten hour 1,000 mile showdown!
