ipod holder in center compartment? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

because i had the first (6FL) iPod option in my e92, my car did not come with the velcro holder in the center compartment. every 6FL car i see (including my fiance's) has the holder and i think my dealer should install one for me. problem is they claim there is no part number, i can't find one either, so they can't order one to install. any advice/recco?

I'm sure there is a part # for it. Talk to Tischer BMW I'm sure they'll get the part # for you.

Do a search in the iPod threads. The part no. was posted early last summer. I used it to order at that time. Be prepared to spend $60-80.

why should i have to pay a dime? i bought 6FL, not my fault BMW forgot to put the holder in?

Maybe it wasn't in 07's and added for 08's? Not sure why your car would not have gotten one if others around the same build date as yours had them. My car has it, but was built just last month in Jan 08.

'07's do have them, they just "forgot" to add his.

I'd really be pushing the service department to order it, install it and bill back BMW. It is part of the 6fl option that you'd paid the same price as everybdoy else did. If they forgot the cable, they'd have to get you one, so I thnk they should get you a case and install it.

The very first ones produced didn't have it. Mine was built March 4th and didn't have it. I think that by April production they all had it.

i appreciate your response, and i was just responding to the information you provided? you said "be prepared" and i just responded with - i don't think it is fair because we were march production (i was the 1st week of march 2007 as well) that we should pay for this.

Bob Smith but I did a PCD. I use South Bay for service, however.

Get the dealer to install it, I have it in my March 07 production. I know some members got it installed by the dealer after their 6FL was missing the iPod case.
