Does anyone else have this issue?

When I have sunglasses on and look at the radio display it is so dark I can barely see it. I have changed my position in the seat and it is the same. I have to look down severely or lift up my glasses to make the text become bright enough to read. I have tried 4 pairs of sunglasses and this happens to some degree no matter which pair I wear. It is just so odd that when I put on sunglasses it basically blanks out the display on the radio.

Does anyone else have this happen?

Hmm, can't say that it happens to me, I can't recall ever taking my glasses off because I can't see it. SO I would have to say no, it doesn't happen to me.

Rotate your head or glasses 90 degrees (seriously).

It's normally caused by polarised glasses as krdanic307 says, the polarisation on the liquid crystals and your glasses conspires to not let you see the display.

You can barely see with the non-polarized... but with polarized you can't see at all

Search on "polorized".

There is a link where you can order polorized film. Hold it up in front of your radio and rotate it until you can see it with your sunglasses. Then cut out a rectangle and either wedge it in (as I did) or remove the backing and stick the film on. Problem solved.

I know it's annoying, but I did the fix and haven't thought about it since.

Good luck.
