REVIEW: V2, UR DP's, UR CAI...

My car currently has V2, UR DP's, UR CAI, stock exhaust, 89% tq settings. Outside temp was 27 degrees.

I finally had my boost gauge installed correctly a few days ago. I found out that my Tq settings were set too high for the very cold temps. I found the optimal tq settings to be at 89% with the low boost map. I am able to achieve about 11-13psi from 2000-4500RPM's and then it goes up to 15psi and tapers back down to about 8psi by redline.

When you first turn on the car there is a noticeably louder and rougher tone to the car, not quite as loud as a mustang or other American muscle cars but enough sound to let you know that there is something very special lurking under the hood. The deep burble sound that resonates from the stock exhaust pipes is just wonderful. rev the car up to about 4500 RPM and the car will sing with a duo. The CAI and DP's let their presence be known.

On the streets driving around town the sounds resonating from the car are addictive, the car lunges forward with fury. People in front get out of your way. The 55mph speed limit comes up way to fast and the frustration begins because you know the car is begging you to push it more. So I slow down to about 40 then shoot up to 55mph all the way to the high way. More then likely annoying everyone around me. I don’t care, I’m having a blast.

Once on the high way, no traffic is sight. I move to the center lane, take a deep breath, put the car is DS, and punch the gas. 80-90-100-110-120..the needle just keeps on sweeping without any sign of slowing down. My only reaction is a silly smerk on my face that just doesn’t seem to go away. The car pulls so hard and liner that I feel like I’m driving a big V8 or V10.

So I drive over to the biggest Procede critic I know. Nick. Some of you might remember him from this post he started: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=V2+jb2hr

I take him for a spin, he tells me that it feels faster. That to me sounds like an understatement my car is not the same. So I let him take it for a ride. His reaction seems to be the same as mine, a smile, but he adds the expression, “shit.” Ill let him write a reply to this thread if he choose and he can post his reaction.

To say that I am pleased is an understatement, its more like a crush….Im here at work and all I can think about is getting out of here and taking her for a ride again…sigh.

Be interesting to see how she runs against your buddy. Why DR's? Is he running DR's as well?

Have fun and be safe! Glad she working well and all worked out!

Im Nick. Vinces car pulls much much much much much more smooth. FINALLY at where it is suppose to be. I was shocked. The procede is a good tune I just personally like the resistors better, reason being is it allows the ECU to do its own work. As you can tell our ECU's are pretty advanced, so no need for a piggyback. Just for all of you who are going to post against me or what ever, IAM the one who logically tried to help Vince with his car from what I know about Corvettes and tuning, so far they seem to almost be the same just minor differences. Can't wait to get to the track. I bet Vince will run ATLEAST a 12.40ish.

It will be ineteresting because I also am getting Terry's CAI and will be getting downpipes soon also. Finally a fair matchup race. I hope to god Vince would kick my cars ass since I only have a K&N and JB2H+R for now.....We will definitly take some videos of us at the track.

I would be estatic if I owned Vinces car right now. It is insanely fast and a blast to drive. The key now is to just get it dialed in. It is dialed in the winter now and then comes summer time we will go back to the drawing board and once again adjust the torque values for the temperatures outside. I honestly can say I cant wait to see his car run down the track. Procede and Juicebox are hands down the two best tunes our 335's.

No I dont have drag radials and im still on stock tires and rims, with no intake or downpipes.Im on runflats because it is the middle of the winter. My rims and tires are on their way from **********s! We will race again at the track, no excuses or anything just a flat out heads up race.

Euroteknik is way clickish. I also went once and was bored out of mind. We even showed up with 1 C6 Procharged vette , 1C5 Twin Turbod vette (1000+RWHP) and my 330xi back then and still nothing. LOL Dont think I will go again any time soon.

Im actually becoming a believer of the Procedes now, just simply put the tune isnt for me but I respect it. Im not saying JB is better by any means, procede is just not my cup of tea. From past experience I dont see the need for almost a 2K piggyback tune when the stock ECU is fully functional and the JB simply juist alters signals while letting the ecu still do its joband adjust perfectly. We will see if the JB holds up because im going to add all the stuff i previously posted and would be shocked if I didnt throw a limp code or anything.

I should be close to about 400WHP. Oh and I wont be on drag's Ill be on summer tires and m6 rims once the weather here breaks.
Terry doesn't make a CAI he makes a "HAI".

Short rams probably the proper term but I like HAI more.

glad to hear you got it worked out man!

I REALLLLLLY need to install my boost gauge and see where I really am. My car is currently running on the 1-10 map at 90% and it doesnt feel as fast as the last map at 95%. Procede is all about tuning on the tq values and really paying attention to the boost levels on your BOOOOOST GAUGE.

sorry I couldnt let go of the keys...I've been drinking Chimay

not yet man, but it is on my to do list. I dont like they way they are sitting right now, but I did put some foam between them.

I do like the fact that Forge gave us extra hose though, much better than not enough.

Cool man just wanted lt you know those 2 inches from the front hose alleviate so much tension!! My DVs use to touch each other, after cutting 2 inches they have about 2 to 3 mm space between them!!!

Im running the low boost map and I dont really see anymore spiking since I am running the tq values much lower. I drive very aggressively. I basically drive at 15-20 over the limit all the time except for crowded roads, dont like to cut people off unless I have to. when the road is open and Im on the highway, I will hit the top speed limiter.
