KWV2 - lots of questions about them!!!

just got KWV2, waiting to install, went to their website and checked out the drop range. But would still very much appreciate some advice from the veterans here.

Car is e90, my rims are 19inch x 8.5 and 9. what settings are you guys using for those with KWV2 so that there is no rubbing?

And i have been trying to figure it out but how do you adjust the height/dampening effect when they are already installed into the car?

thanx...sound kinda stupid questions but would appreciate some help!!!

cheers!

I opted for a minimal drop - 1/2 " rear 3/4" front. I have them set 2 ticks softer than the recommeded rebound setting. I also have H&R sways, so this does affect the harshness a little. I am very happy with this setup.

How do you adjust the ride height? Do you need to take the wheels off?

The spring sits on an adjustable perch. The front wheels don't need to come off but the rear does.

Got ya.
And to adjust ride firmness there is a knob on top and you count clicks right?

Correct. For the front, open your hood. Rear, the trunk liner needs to be moved.

Yes, but its not really a knob. Its more of an allen screw that you put an allen key into.

You said it, man. The KW V2 has to be my favorite mod. I'm a life long fan of KW now. I've ridden in cars with many coilovers from many other famous companies but they didn't impress me much.

I'm soooo glad I got the KW V2 on my car. I read so many great reviews of them in here and I don't regret spending the money on the KW V2.

How much do the KW V2 coil-overs cost? I may be ordering a 335 coupe soon (owned two e46 M3s before and currently a 997S, but will be getting married and have to get rid of the 997 due to wedding costs )

And also, how does everyone like the KW compared to the Bilstein PSS9? I had full GC coil-overs with camber plates and RSM on my M3 and have the Bilstein PSS damptronic on the 997. I would like coil-overs that are great in handling and also can be comfy when needed. Hope to get some replies on this.

The new PSS10s are looking great, as are the ride controls if you want that flexibility. Hotchkis has matched their new hollow sway bars to work with the PSS10s.

Are the PSS10 even available yet for the e90/e92? I am guessing a cost of around 1800-2000?

Sam,
lately there's been discussion on the problems of KW V3/ V2 on E92xi in the suspension thread, involving H&R sway bars.

this has caused me restless since i have the V2 + H&R sways on my E90 and my life could be at stack.

Could you briefly find out the actual cause of this that happen only to the E90/92xi ? or across the board when H&R sways are used?

Appreciate your help to clear the midst.

Not a single person has contacted me with regards to problems with XI but we are aware of the early version E90/E92, the sets with issues have the shock bodies replaced.

H&R's sway bar design varies from the factory so KW's engineers created a design where it can handle both the factory & H&R. The tabs where the sway bar connects was flexing.

Can't wait to get some KW V2s now. But, I have a question.

When adjusting the ride height, how do you know how many inches you have lowered? Is there an indication when you adjust the perches? (It seems you just base it off the threads on the shock. Is there a possibility of hardship in matching ride heights from left tp right because of this?)
