February 2006 Lease Information

325i Sedan

24 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 74% of MSRP – .00250 Base Money Factor Rate
36 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 62% of MSRP – .00250 Base Money Factor Rate
48 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 44% of MSRP – .00290 Base Money Factor Rate
60 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 36% of MSRP – .00290 Base Money Factor Rate

330i Sedan

24 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 74% of MSRP – .00195 Base Money Factor Rate
36 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 62% of MSRP – .00195 Base Money Factor Rate
48 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 45% of MSRP – .00290 Base Money Factor Rate
60 mo/15k mi – Residual Value 36% of MSRP – .00290 Base Money Factor Rate

According to this, I can lease a 330I for about $15/month than a 325I, same equipment, same discount. Can anybody confirm?

Well, the final payment will depend on the negotiated price of the two cars. If you had a $43K 325 and a $43K 330, the 330 would be cheaper by $40/mo.

Since a similarly equipped 325 would really be about $38K-$39K you may find that the payments are almost the same. I did.

Yes they are. Add 2% for 12K and another 1% for 10K.

My Dealer quoted me $549-tax in for the 330i MSRP ~$41K and $499-tax in for the 325i MSRP ~$37K.

Doesnt the difference in lease value depends on how much the vehicles are discounted if both share the same lease terms such as MF, Residual, Etc...?

$392.00 per month doesn't seem like a bad deal to me! With the same amount down as the offer below, how much would the 330i be per month?

---------------------------------------------------
2006 BMW 325i Sedan Lease Offer

$392*/month for 36 months
Build Your 325i Sedan
Test Drive a 325i Sedan

$392 First month's payment - $392 First month's payment
$2,500 Down payment - $2,500 Down payment
$400 Security Deposit - $392 Security Deposit
$3,292 Cash due at signing - $3,284 Cash due at signing

first of all If you are going to lease any car (not just a bmw) do not put any money down (capitalization reduction) pay only "drive offs". first months payment, security deposit (if any) and fees. you are "renting" the vehicle-the residual or purchase price at the end of the lease is fixed by the manufacurer (their best guess as to future value) The only way to lower the total amount that you "rent " the vehicle for is to negotiate down the initial selling price (just as in a purchase). By paying $2000 or any amount down is the same as paying additional rent in advance. it's the same as renting an apt and the landlord says he will rent it to you for $1000 a month for a year lease or for $700 a month for the same term if you give him $3600 in advance!

Agreed. Don't put anything down and haggle on MSRP just like you were buying it. The fact that it's a lease doesn't mean you have to pay MSRP. Most people don't understand that.
